If you're not familiar with Diablo Immortal's predatory loot box system with its economy, read here. Basically, a streamer wanted to "prove" how unfair Immortal's monetization is by spending $25,000 NZD ($16,000 USD) to get ONE legendary 5 star gem.

Somebody created a $25 Rift Simulator to simulate Diablo Immortal's loot box system WITHOUT spending a dime.

How lucky can you get?

Pretty accurately modeled my shit luck tbh. 10/10 honestly can't tell the difference between this and any other RNG system

Lil reminder that most gacha´s got a guaranteed slot system and atleast a 0.5% chance for the 5 stars and 1.5% for 4 stars

12,925 dollars before the first five star. What the absolute fuck, Blizzard.

Why the fuck are you guys spending so much money on this. Am I missing a joke? Spending $10k to prove how predatory the system is only feeds the system and encourages them to keep doing it.

This isn't any different from paying DSP to epically pwn and troll him.

Edit: I realize now this is simulated money. Please ignore me.

I got a 4 star pretty quickly:

The 5 star took a bit longer:

Given their history it's no surprise Blizzard wants to rape people's wallets as much as their vaginas.
