(Reuters) - Police were responding to reports of shots fired at a high school in Santa Fe, Texas on Friday, local media reported, and the school district said it was on lockdown.

The Santa Fe Police Department could not immediately confirm the reports of an active shooter at Santa Fe High.

“We’re still establishing the scene,” a department spokesman said by phone.

(CNN)A shooting has been reported at a high school in the southeastern Texas city of Santa Fe, officials said Friday.

A gunman walked into an art class at Santa Fe High School and began firing what looked like a shotgun, a witness told CNN affiliate KTRK.
The witness told KTRK she saw a girl shot in the leg.
Details about whether anyone was in custody or what led to the shooting weren't immediately available.
Aerial video from the scene showed several police officers outside the school. Some were searching students and their backpacks.

Students empty their backpacks outside Santa Fe High School Friday.
Angelica Martinez, a 14-year-old student, told CNN she and her schoolmates were being evacuated at one point "like it's a fire drill."
"We were all standing (outside), but not even five minutes later, we started hearing gunshots," she said.
"I didn't see anybody shooting, but like (the gunshots) were kind of spaced," she said, adding she heard about four shots.
The entire school district is on lockdown, district officials said.

Looks like your typical incel school shooting.

Considering he started in an art class, he probably got stopped by an easel trying to find his next target. That kind of thing seems to happen to school shooters these days.

I wonder if this highschool had a blue sofa on site? They're known to be extremely effective against school shooters.

“It was reported that, while discussing an upcoming weekend party, one student made light of another’s inability to handle their alchohol during a previous party.”

Jesus fucking Christ not again. 8 dead so far, 1 cop got injured, and they've arrested 1 shooter and detained a second suspect.

EDIT: Ninja'd hard. SO how many school shootings are we up to this year?

22. Including minor incidents.
Police are requesting another ambulance to the west side of the school, said it's related to the shooting. Hopefully they found an injured party.

8 confirmed dead. Shooting started in an art class. They're still clearing the school, more dead or injured may still be found. One arrested, one detained.

HAPPY 22ND SCHOOL SHOOTING OF THE YEAR.
The left is ramping up for another round of Gun Control shit.

Great, now I'm going to have to hear another month of social justice garbage as a result of this. More bans, keep our schools safe, etc. And don't forget the hypocritical "stop bullying" jackoffs that will probably spout off.

I'm all out of shits to give. I really am.
