I mean there's a ton of things that fungi can do to us and related fungi(and kind of fungi as they're technically fungi but not in dikarya which is what most people think of as true fungi) that alter the minds of other organisms. So many of them are insidious and related to sex too -- almost certainly because sex is a good way to infect another individual of the same species. Just from what I can remember of some other mind altering/controlling. One that, from what I can remember, hasn't been figured out for how it controls its host is Entomophtora(entomo = bug, phtora = decay/corrupt) muscae(refers to flies). All I remember is that more yeast-like cells of the fungus end up concentrating in the brain and then that is able to get the host to go to a high place, secrete a glue-like substance(it's not clear from what I remember if the fungus provides this or the fly has some ability to make this one their own) to lock them in place and then pop up their wings for their death pose(to get them out of the way).

After it does that it then proceeds to consume the last of the fly and prepare for spore formation. They form these spore launchers that eject the spores all over the place, but the spores themselves when they detect that they've landed on a surface they can't infect(like the wing of a fly) then they'll be able to launch themselves one more time in an attempt to properly spread. The more insidious portion of this fungus though is that it secretes something that makes the dead fly smell like a female. This often causes male flies to try and mate with the infested, dead fly. They then get glued to that corpse and usually drag it around, aiding in spreading the spores(which will also likely infect that male too).

Beyond Entomophtora muscae there's also the dreaded cicada infecting fungus Massospora cicadina( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massospora_cicadina ). It's a parasitic castrator, which is a kind of parasite that, as the name implies, castrates its host. In those castrated individuals(the ones destined to spread the spores) their abdomen essentially breaks apart and leaves a disgusting, powdering mass on the back. Male and female cicadas castrated this way also make female mating calls to attract males to try and mate with them and they also aggressively seem to go after other cicadas from what I remember.

Beyond those two horrifying examples I've also done some looking into some of the fungi that are a natural part of our microbiome. Candida species yeasts/fungi are in a position to evolve to fill a niche of parasitic castrator in humans, but I feel like I may have ranted a bit too much and this is all quite off-topic. To summarize some bits, candida albicans can cross the blood-brain barrier and cause brain damage, some candida species(I think it may actually be all of them) can also form mycelium but are usually single-celled yeast. Candida species are all over and inside of your body. From your skin to your intestines and are often benign but blooms of these yeasts cause various kinds of Candidiasis(thrush being the oral variant) and anal sex would be one method to facilitate their spread(and thus intraspecies dominance potentially). Beyond just that many microbes in our intestines produce all kinds of compounds that can alter our mood and such, I'd imagine Candida species yeasts also could.
