I am laughing at that blogpost, because 4chan as a concept is easily replaceable; it's just a fucking imageboard.
And the community itself nowadays is also a nothingburger. It's just a big group of shut-ins and freaks. (E.g. Incels, Troons, Gooners etc.)

Once, when Elon was posting on X about H1B jeets, I set it to show me the new threads as they were posted and just kept refreshing it, and every time I did there was 2 or 3 more spam threads about the same shit. Most days were a little slower but the experiment could be repeated most of the time even without a "happening". That site is garbage and is owned by some of the biggest faggots on the internet.

Actually a shame considering /f/ was probably one of 3 boards left on that fucking shithole that still felt like 4chan used to.
I used /f/ religiously from the 00s to the mid 10s and have thousands of flashes I grabbed off that board over the years. I don't care for 4chan at all anymore and haven't since before I started using KF, but a board like /f/ going really feels like the end of another era. Why would they? To them, this wasn't a funny joke that they were in on, just some "lulz xD ebin trollin." This was a direct shot at them, the staff of the website, for a continuous series of slights, missteps, and bullshit management going back to since before moot even stepped down. Any pretense that the majority of the site doesn't hate them and the way they run the site is gone. Why would they want to bring attention to it at all?

The only thing that's allowed to be posted is how much you missed 4chan instead of reddit or Twitter and how much you're happy it's back on. A blogpost that they don't have to engage with the community on is nothing. There's no thread anywhere on the site where they're actually engaging with the community about any of this, or about any of the shit that had come out via the leaks. Again, why would they? The jannies are mostly troons who are fat, ugly, and retarded, and have their own cope board where they cry about the boards they VOLUNTEERED to clean up.

Ironically, making a thread and actually engaging and fielding questions in good faith would be a step that they had actually learned something from this whole thing, since the root cause of all of this was seething about their own community to the point of shutting down a board that had developed its own culture in the spirit of how the site used to be.

There is a good chance that public-facing janitor applications are never going to come back. This spells a lot of trouble for the site going forward - historically, the retention% for 4chan janitors is dogshit, and it's only going to get worse.

Doubling back on this one: It's highly likely that they will source future jannies and moderators either in-house (spreading the workload of boards to the remaining jannies) or contract out to whatever troon freaks they are in contact with on their IRC and/or Discord servers. As soon as public-facing applications go up, there's going to be a non-zero amount of applications that are being made solely to access the janitor board to either shit it up or leak it onto here, the sharty, or another altchan. The fact that RapeApe says this shows that they've, again, learned nothing from this and if anything their contempt for the userbase of the website has been strengthened and hardened.

I wish an actual janny, since I know they lurk this thread and have been since the leak, would nut up and post here and at least try to defend themselves and their record.
