I've even seen it start happening in physical space too. I have found it virtually impossible to find any group doing some semi-niche activity such as tabletop gaming that doesnt have its fair share of troons stinking the place up. I'm not even somewhere there should be a lot of troons either but they all just flock to this stuff I guess.

I stopped playing magic at my lgs because of troons crawling out of the woodwork.

Before signing up a month ago I didn't even realise the Kiwifarms had an entire section just for women. Might be the only place on the Internet where they can discuss shit amongst themselves without troons infiltrating the space.

In the last 5-10 years or so I have come across a lot of posters who regularly post their face and IRL name but don't technically type their name in the namefield, everyone knows who it is by their posts and addresses them by name directly, they usually get doxxed at some point but keep posting
In some places like /pol/ they've become more common than actually seeing tripfags in the wild

Nerd spaces or niche fanbases are always going to have people peak in to stir up trouble or introduce an unknown variable into the status quo. If 4chan were a smart site most people would have moved past 3DPD at some point but the site had a bunch of porn boards and /lgbt/ and other bullshit that validates these kinds of people. Then you had people turning everything into a blog on how life sucks because they missed out teenage love or how they wont get married because they're an autist. Literal degradation of a hobby.

Optics are one thing, but even then, they were never 4chan's forte.
Even in the days of this site actually creating memes that weren't just derivatives of wojak and pepe shit, this site had an issue with assholes posting CP and gore where they felt like it. /sp/ still had el peruANO posting the former on certain 2024 game threads. The moderation was a constant problem in the big board, it just wasn't ever consistent. Plus, there are always those sad, no-life autists that shit up threads.

The best explanation I saw, involved /an/. Some guy known as "paleoschizo" would shit up a thread. Then another anon would name the paleoschizo, and the two would then shit up the thread even more via arguing. Seems like every board has its (topic)schizos, and mods are never able to do anything about them.

The moderation was a constant problem...it just wasn't ever consistent.

There it is...no complaining about 4chan allowed.
Someone else will have to check the post per hour counter on /cgl/. It must be among the slowest boards on the site. In fact, looking at the thread again, I spotted this, from January 19:

I'm never going to pol again. This thread had no business being deleted and is a subject that is very dear to me as it's one I've suffered. And anyone with the most basic understanding of politics would know how huge an issue housing is and the shift of people from houses to apartments.

Yes I want to read about the socioeconomic realities of apartment life and how the kikes want to put everyone in the pod. I know the OP is simple but it's how threads gain traction and leads to greater discussion.

I feel boards like /sneed/ and /gif/ exist because of inertia. They made sense in the past when image hosting cost money. It was an easy place to share pics. And now they still exist because it isn't worth the effort deleting pages. And if they delete /gif/ their israeli demoralization team will get upset and start posting nigger dicks everywhere. /lgbt/ was a moot idea. I think he thought trannies were persecuted and he wanted to create a space for them, but instead of just fostered a breeding place for the cancer that's destroying 4chan.
