The Captchas were already really annoying when they were those weirdly shaped letters back in the day. This is the one I remember from back then. The ones now are totally unusable.

Even lurking is not worth it anymore. I got rate limited on /wsg/ after using the 4chanX gallery mode after opening a thread with about 70 videos in it. Opening most files returns a "429 too many requests" message instead.

The best Captchas were when Google was using Captcha to transcribe stuff so you had two words, one of them was the test word, the other was the one that needed transcribing. You could tell the two apart because the test word always had to same type of font and noise on it, and you could type whatever you want for the word that needs transcribing, so when anons found out about it they started just typing NIGGER for the transcribed word. I don't know how much this inconvenienced Google, but I want to believe it made at least one employee's life miserable.

The captchas would be way less annoying if they didn't force you to wait a minute. Even if you make a single post. The website expects you to sit through it again the next thread.

How are you even using 4chanX? I haven't managed to post with it ever since the new captchas.

Fascinating to think I've now seen multiple huge sites slide off into irrelevance and die. Part of my brain wants me to find the next 4chan, but when I actually go looking it's like the entire internet is full of mentally stunted manchildren and the only sane choice is to not really spend time online anymore.
 
I only get one captcha, unless l make an OP - then l get 3.
Yesterday l made fun of jeets and didn't get banned award btw. Janny must've had the day off.

Gotta do more than that, you have to basically dispel any idea the site is a place to discuss normalfag hobbies and interests. No politics board, no board dedicated to porn, make mobile posting inert and other draconian but necessary things. Also the mod staff can't post on discord.
 
Does anyone know who this Eric guy is? I've often seen this name tossed around in Nintendo related threads on /v/ along with ACfag for a several years, but I'm not all that familiar with the lore. From my understanding, he's a Sony fanboy with a fuck-huge hateboner for Nintendo and has been a plague mainly in the Famitsu threads, going on nuclear samefagging sprees - sometimes spamming CP and porn - for hours/days whenever Sony's being laughed at in the news or when Nintendo succeeds at something, but I've also seen others say he's a boogeyman and its really just one autist calling anyone Eric along with "You lost and got raped".
But then you have falseflags like this which would undoubtedly prove the latter statement false.

It's times like these that I wish there was an Encyclopedia Dramatica museum of sorts for every 4chan shitposters because I'm often facinated by what lead to their downward spiral, but the gaslighting and schizophrenia these days has gotten so bad it's hard to make heads or tails of what's what and who's who when you can't get a straight answer.

I know it's against the spirit of the farms but I honestly don't think they're worth cataloging. There's so many of them and the effort it'd take to properly single out and track posters on an anonymous Congolese zoetrope forum, it isn't worth it just to find out whether it's a downie that figured out a VPN or if it's an urban legend perpetuated by gullible retards. There's milkier, easier targets out there.
