Range bans are pretty much a nuclear missile option for a small problem.
It screws over 99 people to get 1.
I'm pretty sure gookmoot approves of this personally because "buy passu gaijin." I believe they've even banned a couple of entire South American countries for some period of time.
Idk how making one singular on topic post in /vg/ consistutes “IP range abuse” while discordniggers are spamming touhou memes in an unrelated thread.
I think there's a significant crossover at this point between tranny jannies and Discord trannies and people sign up to be jannies just to be able to get away with spamming and shitting things up.

Gentlemen, I regret to inform you that my shitposting days are over. 4chan has finally banned my ip range. After years of torturing the jannies on /v/, I got bored and decided to shitpost on /lgbt/. It only took two ban evades for them to go nuclear and ban my entire ip range from the site.
The "official" reason is probably sharty attacks but let's be honest, /lgbt/ is the unofficial /j9k/

Don't know what that could be, but the site, both 4chan and 4channel, are now accepting janny applications:

Boards I look at commonly, like /pol/ or /lit/ or others seem to be moving at normal pace. I don't really ever go on /v/, so I can't give you any advice/help there. New jannies being brought on board make me think that the domain registration might be renewed soon, like this announcement doesn't strike me as the behavior of site that's preparing to shut its doors.
looks like we crushed the last batch of faggot jannies in record time, they gave it a good go, but the posters always grind them down in the end.

There is cp on the front page of /pol/ and it's still up after an hour, where are the jannies

I believe many people use 4chan for one or two recurring threads, and stay away from the rest of the board. It sucks that 4chan is the only place some of these discussions can happen, for one reason or another.

Well the Rust trannies are at it again. Look at any programming thread in /g/ and you'll see non stop shilling of "muh memory safety", "Rust is God", "Use this untested language without a memory model on your project because of our non-binary mascot".
It's been years since I used /g/, and it was terrible a decade ago. Rust shilling is helped by the fact that most anyone who knows enough about Ada, or really anything, moved to somewhere better long ago.

Of course, jannies are still participating in this
I believe /g/ must compete with other boards for worst moderation. The sticky, with that irrelevant demon waifu horseshit is evidence enough that an inmate got a position of power at that asylum.

The thing about /g/ that's bizarre to me is just how much shilling goes on there. The board isn't even in the top 10 by most metrics [0] but glancing at how many different consumer brands are represented there you'd think this was as popular as reddit's front page. Some threads like the X11 vs Wayland flamewars are to be expected considering the topic and the type of autists who are "passionate" about technology. But I'm starting to think that half the posts on that board are created by abandoned/broken botnets considering how weird and repetitive the shilling is.

I swear 80% of the threads are recurring threads that aren't marked as such and the remainder are either ads (right now ebay, nvidia, amd, apple, and shopify have their own threads) or basically just tech support questions.

I can't post images on /v/ and /vg/ for some reason, I think the janny tranny from /vg/ got angry and shadowbanned me from shitposting on the /ss13g/ thread, there is some truly deranged sociopathic mongoloids that inhabits that general, never post there.

Last week was when I found out a poster (or some posters) are starting to turn on Filthy Frank:

Almost reminds me of the time when the same people did the exact same thing to Idubbbz.

You have actual Wayland devs like Drew DeVault posting on /g/ who get really mad every time you say something against Wayland.

Its either a troll or a really butthurt that Frank got popular and whatever channel that the anon was watching didn't. I do agree the fanbase is cancer.
