Its something that plagues the modern era in so many ways. From 4chan, game series, television shows, bands, you name it, shit that has long since died and people will just not let it go. So they drag it on, like watching Motley Crue shamble onstage, trying to coax a single performance out for what might be the last payout. 4chans last few actual human users keep telling themselves they will leave, they will go somewhere or do something productive with their lives, they fire up a different board in hopes it will all come flooding back to them. It doesn't, it never does, suicide is the only outcome for most, a heart attack alone in government housing for the remaining few.

By the way, if you want a good thread check the Lego MOC threads on /toy/; they're quite comfy. /toy/ is a good board in general, but it's quite slow, so I suppose we may as well go back to forums since they're just as slow and less cancerous.

Back in 2019, some Jap autist torched an animu studio down, which resulted in a couple of animu artists getting roasted. Thereafter, the rumor emerged that the perpetrator was a railfan. A couple of mentally ill retards from /a/ then spammed the catalog of /n/ to death. (Even though at this point 60% of the board was non-train related anyway.) Because no mod cares about /n/, the moderation reaction took a couple of hours.

The second small story involves a black literal boomer namefag who literally died in 2017.

"Ithaqua" was a regular at /mtg/ (model train general) who was infamous for posting horrible blurry photos of his setup. He also linked to his youtube account occasionally, where he uploaded videos of model trains.

Then, in 2017, the National Review posted a small article on their homepage about their mailroom guy, a railfan and Japanophile, passing away. The article further linked his youtube account about model trains... lo and behold, the link led to Ithaqua’s infamous youtube channel. Thereafter, all posting by Ithaqua stopped forever.



I remember one post of his claiming that the oldest model train he owned was a gift from his father from 45 years ago, or something along those lines. I always assumed he was just a weird larper, but no. RIP, buddy.

Who cares if you're downvoted? Just to be clear here: I wouldn't recommend actually using it for social interaction, I mean if you have an interest in a specific subject or need a place you can drop in and seek out a quick answer to a question then it isn't the WORST place online. I would never want to interact with a redditor for the sake of it lmao. Of course, I keep reminding myself AI exists now too and it's actually getting pretty good as a replacement but I like to keep up with some things and its obviously not the best for that.

Hmmmface indeed. /b/ has to be almost entirely automated or filled with bots or paid shills or something because that board has been unusable for a long time and yet there's a ton of posts there everyday. Almost every other board has similar posting rates to /g/. Like I assumed /pol/ has been keeping 4chan propped up for nearly a decade now, /v/ and /vg/ follow close-by. There's large gaps in the data, understandably, like the early 00s but then there's a big chunk missing between the start of the 10s to middle of it for some of the boards, even ones that started before the end of the 00s.

If you want porn there are several other dedicated porn boards like /gif/ which you can go to which are better for that. /soc/ fills in the meetup stuff. What does /b/ even offer at this point?
