are there any other refugee anons here who would normally lurk on 4chan because they felt like it effort-posting was no longer worth it most of the time?
i feel way more inclined to put in effort on here. i think the regulars here may be surprised how common that might be.
Pretty much yeah, one reason I finally registered here was the quality of discussion was higher even though generally the amount of posts was lower. But I'd keep a tab on /v/ open, or the couple of generals I usually lurked. Could still get some okay discussion there.

100% There's 'two' guys in one of my generals where they have had the same argument every day for the past year plus.
If I tell myself it's a bot it makes me less sad.
It seemed like any general always had a pair of those retards arguing about the same shit every day. I used to mimic the styles of both retards and hurl really under the belt insults like just randomly accusing the other of being a pedo, and since they're retards, they'd assume it was actually the other retard who had said it.

Then you could walk away having made them even more perpetually assmad.

4chan's software hadn't been supported in 10 years? I find it hard to believe this is the same site where anons would hack shit just to brag about it on the boards. What the fuck was Gookmoot thinking?
Japanese web infrastructure tends to never get updated. This is also the place where floppy disks (CD's if you were lucky) were the only acceptable format for submitting legal documents until very recently.

It's always baffling to me that people still browse the internet without an adblocker.
It's probably because on most smartphones getting an adblocker is actually rather difficult for the average turd worlder. There are some that support adblocking extensions (Firefox and its forks) or have it built in (Vanadium, Bromite) but there's just some mental brick wall for them when it comes to, say, installing an APK file or even just looking at extensions.

For a long time yeah, especially when it was more of a hassle to post. Glad I didn't buy a pass in the end.

Nick Monroe has been scanning the IRC logs for "Gamergate" related things. Came across proof that at least some 4chan Jannies agreed that Zoe Quinn fucked all those guys, but banned gamergate stuff anyways.

That's fine, they were just trying to get in on the pussy grift, too. You'd get it if you were a janny or journo that has to choose from a dating pool of only chicks who look like Zoe, but usually fatter.

This is fantastic. The Mods and Jannys on 4chan have always been the enemy of the users. You could hop on their IRC chat back in the day and it was blatantly clear from their prose that they did not belong on the website.
To be fair, the old-school mods and jannies got shitcanned after Nick ‘Gawker’ Denton’s niece supposedly attempted suicide as a result of 4chan-based online GamerGate bullying, and were replaced with a fresh crop of suspiciously ready-to-go mods and jannies that didn’t go through the normal application process.
Shit glowed, yo.

Situation is even more dire on iPhones. The only browsers with adblockers I found while searching were Brave and Orion. Too hard for an Indian or related to install an additional app.
