The mods of 4chan completely lost the plot, the copyright isnt even updated on the site, the backend isnt updated, theyve been banning anyone they dont like and running complete amok on the site.
One can joke over muh cp, but i doubt (and I do - but i can be wrong, i reckon) that most posters were pizza enjoyers. Was the fun not in drive-by-night anonymous posting ideas that either stand to scrutiny or dont, or finding troves of fellow obscure hobby enjoyers and talking just the hobby with them? Or getting the news before it was news from people all over the world doing the same, or working together on some giant fun campaign to map stars in a webcam to find a stupid flag?

A lot of smarter people than me have already summed up many great points about the mark 4chan left on the internet, and the internet in general pre 2010 (tho i will say 8chan was a blast in 2014) and its wild to me to see it hosed even though I knew in my bones it was going to happen in my lifetime.
Maybe Im misinterpreting you here, but doesnt feel accurate in the least to jive over cp access, it feels the same on reddit when people there of all places joke the general intelligence of 4chan was low, which is factually not true, even with the swarm of retard posters, jeets, bots, and eglin vax takers.

Further, as others have also said, 4chan didnt just go to shit in a vacuum, the rest of the internet has also. Zoomies have zero attention span and cant and could never handle being given social media access at such a young age.

I was mostly joking, but a lot of the users from the "golden age" of 4chan and ED were pedophiles and it was seen as either a joke or encouraged behavior, that was just the free speech culture. 4chan had an open lolicon board for years. I do think we traded a devil for another though with the shift of the internet towards it being more sanitized and gay.
