A big problem with 4chan is that three-day bans aren't allowed to be appealed, yet a janny can ban you for literally any reason from all boards without recourse. 4chan prides itself on being more than "free" than Reddit but they really aren't.

Ive never been much of a 4chaner but last time I was on there I saw a video of a bunch of brown folks dismember a motherfucker with machetes..... Meanwhile Ive been permabanned like 5 times from reddit for saying mean words that YouTube wouldn't even be offended by.

Eh, you're right, there are only certain threads and times when Defcon 5 is declared, and really hit and miss. And at least they didn't nuke every post and thread from the entire site this time, which they have done in the past. (It was in regards to Kiwi Farms, they REALLY don't like talking about that). I'm probably just salty.

I don't think this has been brought up ITT already, but it looks like the mods are working on some kind of moderation automation in regards to NSFW coom pics. If you upload a file that the "auto-janny" deems inappropriate, the post or the thread won't get created. I think this only applies to /v/ at the moment? I never post outside of /vst/ anymore, but there are sufficient posts in the /v/ archive complaining about it.

I'm lost. Is the point that the first pic got shadowbanned in some way, though that way isn't shown, or that the second post didn't load? It seems more like they didn't give enough time for it to even show up if that's what's being showcased.

I managed to appeal an all boards 30 day ban and a range ban in the last 6 months, but then again I‘m pretty sure that I bullied a global mod for a year and he was waiting for me to slip up.

It appears to be mostly affecting people using smart phones to post, and incognito mode isn't even necessary for it to be triggered, oddly.
