I'm surprised there hasn't been a attempt to by Kiwi users to make there own Imageboards in the same vain as the 'cuck or the Sharty. Yes, I know dear feeder tried to make 9chan a thing but In my opinion it was a half - baked clone of 8chan. would like to see a true successor to 4chan that's not full of troons and samefags one day.

The culture of the imageboard is dead, so it's a wasted effort to make a direct copycat without taking into account the state of things as they are now. As for why, it's pretty hard to point a finger to one exact reason.

- The people using the Internet changed, privacy first and never reveal personal information to strangers as the first advice you receive as a kid is a thing of the past.

- Facebook Generation and the Internet being with you all the time in your pocket. Throw a stone at any crowd and you'll hit a social media using attention whore. This affects behavior and how you talk even if you remove usernames and hash IPs.

- Everybody's finding it harder to keep the pedal off the gas and chillpost, because reality seems to be turning to shit more and more every day.

- You can probably draw a direct correlation between the second/third world countries getting ubiquitous Internet access and post quality going to shit across the board on all websites. Impressionable, retarded turd world children see the most cancerous /b/ shit and think that's what every single board and post should be about.

I used to occasionally post on IBs, but I've completely given that up years ago when I was stuck using a small splinter board. When the userbase gets small enough and tight-knit, you don't even need usernames to know exactly who you're talking to and at that point you're just using a forum with zero effective spam prevention measures.

That's called the Sharty. I think of 9chan as Null's sacrifice so that Sharty culture could come about and oldtroon imageboard culture could die. Imageboard culture was never good to begin with; Moot created 4chan as a porn dump and a porn dump it will always remain. At this rate, you're better off going back to old-style forums and D*scoals. That's where the highest-quality discussion has always been (like it or not 'cord is the modern version of IRC and many use it as such), and though there are tons of forums that have 3 PPY and forums with the same 10 active users that have been around for 15 years, there are forums like TFW and SpaceBattles that are fairly active.

He recently BOUGHT 420chan and naturally the first thing he did was commission art of his fursona to plaster on the homepage since he's just an unapologetic narcissist now.

Didn't he redirect another old imageboard to leftypol? Fred got so mindbroken by the 8chan shootings that he now wants all imageboards to be heckin' chungus far-left r/196 safe-edgy cesspools. On one hand, restricting certain words is bad and hurts freedom of speech, which is one of the things that makes 4chan a great site compared to other social media sites.

On the other hand, anyone who uses "nigger tranny faggot" more than three times in a single post is likely either a spammer or a schizo having a melty, so banning spamming of these words will increase overall discussion quality by filtering all the mentally ill retards who spend all day shitting up every thread with off-topic culture war bullshit. For example, if Null were to put this filter on Kiwifarms, A&H would turn into a ghost town and overall posting quality and average user intelligence on this site would skyrocket as a result.

This filter was likely put into effect since tranny jannies refuse to do their jobs and ban obvious trolls and schizos who derail video game and anime threads with completely unrelated rants about how much they hate niggers and trannies.

While speech restrictions suck in general, I'm far more concerned with restrictions on ideas rather than restrictions on saying specific words. At the end of the day, nigger, faggot, and tranny are just words. I'm willing to accept filtering posts that spam these words if it improves overall posting quality and keeps threads on-topic, as long as they don't ban on-topic criticism of minority groups outright.

Most anons that made quality posts and kept the culture going have aged out of it or died. The bellwether weekly threads and generals are all but dead and the newfags don't care about what made it alright, which was being able to have hot takes about obscure chinese cartoons without clout getting in the way. The only things it was ever good for were venting drama from other sites and saying what you couldn't on there, and the mass of redditors and right wing spergs don't uphold the spirit of that because they don't go anywhere else.

4chon has been on the decline for a long while but this might be the thing that cements it. The posting experience is so different from just a year ago it's unreal - cooldowns, samefags abusing the ip counter removal, constant captcha changes, tranny jannies becoming more and more sensitive, and now this. Can't even post the TND pasta anymore unless you do some trickery, which is what they want. It's going to end up like Lainchan, with so many word filters it's actually impossible to post. This thing is enough to prompt me to come here since you can't discuss the faggot censorship on 4chan. I actually had an account with a handful of posts from some years ago but fuck having to look in my tens of disposable mail addresses to see which one it's registered with. Well, 4chan officially became too much of a bother to post on anymore. It's one thing if a tranny janny deletes your post because it made him cry, it's another completely if you have to censor yourself and get your posts ate up by an algorithm or an AI for seemingly random reasons.
Moreover, there is the issue of the userbase being dumb cattle and no worthy content being posted on any board. Even smaller boards that might have more niche content aren't worth using anymore, since your effortpost might end up in the abyss for no reason at all and you wasted your time writing it(not like you would get any good engagement with the current userbase anyways).
This is probably going to kill off my engagement with the site for good now. 4chan is the internet equivalent of junk food, you partake in it because it's quick and has no commitment to it. No point in even bothering if you have to jump thru all these hoops just to not trigger some wrongthink algorithm, on top of the emotional landmine that the tranny jannies are. For as much shit as I have given 8chan and altchans, at least I can post anything I want there and my post will only get removed when the janny gets inevitably triggered by it like a little bitch that he is, my post won't get snuffed in it's crib for no reason.
Well, I am glad that the mask dropped on the 21st anniversary, makes it easy to remember just how long the side held out on life support, after dying of cancer over a decade ago! We're officially in the vegetable stage of 4cuck's life cycle now:
