I don't know what you're talking about, this is the best post I've seen on /v/ in a long time. Considering most posters there are zoom-zooms and normalfags, this one will go over their heads, however.

The imageboards 4chan ripped off copied from aren't all anime centric. A large amount of the boards on 4chan aren't anime centric. Most of the site's most recognizable and most active boards aren't anime centric. Boards like /pol/ and /tv/ are western focused and have had a far larger sway on the entire internet than any of the anime involved boards for arguably 15 years now. The whole "4CHAN IS 100% ANIME YOU TOURIST" is some kind of bizarre coping mechanism at this point for people that missed the site's absolute peak and want to force a narrative using secondhand info and the site's image from 20 years ago in order to not feel like they are playing on a pile of burnt building rubble.

Yup, also one year after smartphones hit and the internet was flooded with sewage of people who were too stupid or poor for a computer.
