Just tried to post on /qa/ as a "why not" thing and I got the April Fools error instead of the usual one. I'm hoping that some idiot will just click a button to unlock every board in a few hours and not realize that /qa/ is supposed to be locked. a lot of the smaller hobby boards don't really have any equivalents that haven't been overtaken by troons or otherwise ruined. /tg/ isn't a great board but it's way more tolerable than any given tabletop forum/discord. /qst/ is basically the only place online for questing that isn't overrun with porn, paypigs, and/or troons. A lot of the deader /v/ spin-offs can still be pretty chill (a rare feat among ANY gaming space today). /lit/ won't get you a bunch of fags breathing down your neck about having a roster that's too white or using masculine pronouns for ambiguities. etc, etc.

It was a lot of fun during the frenzy, but once people realized that the board deletion waves had stopped, everyone sort of hunkered down in their own little corner of a board of choice and basically pretended that nothing had changed outside of the pornspam menace and Flag + IDs.

/b/ had multiple fun and chaotic threads, and I had a very pleasant series of interactions on [s4s], which, truly as they say, is a nice board.

Now that the dust has settled, I don’t know why people here were so bitter about this year’s event. I can’t believe that people are saying it’s the worst one especially compared to stuff like the chatgpt or emoji one. One of the problems that a lot of the events have is that after they reveal the joke it gets stale after a couple of hours. This is the first one in a while to that was actually fun throughout the entirety of April Fool’s. The candy and board mergers are still the best ones because of this. People are acting like every other April fool’s event hasn’t made the site unusable. It’s also pretty retarded for people to act like this was some kind of political statement because of the Musk reference. It was fun to see a glimpse of old /b/. Then again, half of the regulars in this thread are soyteens so I shouldn’t be too surprised.

Or they could do something about the non-stop porn spam on the board. I somewhat understand the loophole where porn that's not allowed on the other porn boards gets posted on there, I don't like it but fair enough I guess. But it's literally just stuff that could go on the existing porn boards.

Personally I was on /b/ for a little bit and then they did the 1337 speak thing which was amusing for 5 seconds and then just made every single post annoying to read so I stopped browsing again.

I’m pretty sure that a lot of the porn or social threads on /b/ are a relic from the fappening. A lot of tourists from the fappening stayed and are probably the majority on /b/ now. As an aside, a lot of people think that gamergate was what made moot sell 4chan but what more than likely caused it was him getting spooked by entertainment lawyers after the fappening.
