Incompetence + operation on a shoestring budget + Web2.0 type operations in a Web3.0 world.
The UI is archaic and I would imagine security features are obsolete too. I'd be stunned if the soyteen responsible needed to do a sim swap to gain access to the admin console.

when i go on vacation or have unplanned time where i have no internet access, i have a guy i ask to check the site every few hours, who has the ability to just shut everything off if it gets hacked. idk how 4chan is less prepared. i guess that cloudflare false sense of security does that shit.
 
Is it just me or is anyone else not able to load any boards? Whole fucking thing is slow as shit and when I try to, it just stops.

Haven't been able to post since last year, I didn't know after so many bans they just permaban you. I figured they'd keep giving me 3-pieces as long as I didn't post anything criminal.
But I'm there every Saturday with MY BODY READY!

I have never seen a single site rape and utterly buck break another site like the sharty does to 4chan. It's kinda crazy how if you take a bunch of little autistic kids board away, this is what they do in response.

They have control over gookmoot's account and there's only one other actual admin. I know very little about how imageboards operate but my guess is that there's literally nobody online right now that can actually gain control over the site. Unlike KF there's essentially zero contingency in place for if someone gets control over an admin account.

The natural conclusion is that the place has essentially been run by a Discord cabal for the last near-decade and the one active admin is only asked to step in when something is critically broken. They had no contingency in place because there was nobody with the kind of technical acumen needed to ask and act on questions like "What if someone hacks into gookmoot's account?". They have people using fucking .gov and .edu emails on their mod accounts, for God's sake.
