One of the best things that will come out of this is that when 4chan finally comes back up again the jannies will forever be buttblasted by the phrase '/qa/ won', more so than they already were.

I don't think 4chan is bad actually. It's not as good as it once was, but it's not horrible. /pol/ is whatever, but some of the smaller boards can be pretty enjoyable. I like posting on /o/ and /ck/ from time to time and occasionally check out other boards.

Someone complained about the post timer now. Unless you're always browsing incognito or resetting your IP daily, it's fine. You only have to wait 900 seconds once and then you're good until your IP resets. I do think that actually cut down on the spam a little bit.

Only real issue with 4chan is the lack of ability to post webms with sound. That single change could help it a lot.

But I kind of don't think it should change. I like that it's kind of a relic of the old internet. That being said, the main issue with 4chan is the main issue with the entire internet now. What used to be something mainly populated by nerdy men and young people is now populated by everyone. And on top of that, a lot of the more interesting and niche groups of people are no longer only publicly accessible forums (such as a kiwifarms etc) or imageboards or even aggregators (reddit). They're all on Discord and Instagram and other private walled-off social media platforms. What was once searchable is now hidden

What a load of bull. You don't want the site to change, but you're fine with 900 second post timers if you ever clear cookies? Get real. It's amazing how hard the original spirit of the site is stifled beneath a mountain of post-post-post-post ironic trash, oblivious newfags and people with an agenda. A single dedicated Discord group can ruin any board. The administrative team (as we're confirming) are troons, feds and far-left retards. If you'd like me to be even more depressing, the site's earliest origins, who would utter things like "This is epic" unironically, are long dead. Just let some new group take up the torch. Ideally not borderline illiterates like Sharty.

B was always like that with the porn but it would usually have an interesting thread every day and periodically have some amazing shit. However once they started getting media coverage the normies took over and just tried to look edgy by posting porn more than anything else. That was a LONG time ago too. It's been limping around on its image from the early days for a long while. it just became a place for tryhards to do what they do best.

I think my favourite old /b/ thread was when a bunch of people decided some creepy daycare in Salt Lake City or something like that was some kind of child trafficking operation so they started going autistic detective on it. I remember some anon who lived nearby went to the place and posted pictures and shit and got too scared to go fuck with the place. At some point I remember being in some kind of group audio chat listening while people tried phoning the place. The thread went on for days. I don't even know how many times it reached the post limit. That shit was a lot of fun. I still have a couple pictures from it.

They are overmoderated dogshit now, infested with Doomworlders and ZDF troons. You can barely post there without somehow getting nuked by a janny for being "inflammatory" (read: Disagreeing with some neo-eunuch about something) or just plain bullshit made-up reasons. Every decent poster besides maybe Combine_Kegan left years ago, and Kegan basically just copypastes his devblog posts and that's it.

Though, of course, the same can be said of almost every thread on every board. It's just general rot.

I find it extremely difficult to believe that any Troonworlder would go on 4chan.
