i hope this is the back breaking the website deserves. Shits been a zombie since 2016 and recently the changes they performed were horrible. The removal of IP counters in threads, the email shit, and the 15 minute post limit.

Also boards not /v/ were just fucking straight up dead or husks like my former home board /tg/. I really hope these Jannie doxxing brings up the trench crusade tranny janny running /tg/ into the ground

What a load of bull. You don't want the site to change, but you're fine with 900 second post timers if you ever clear cookies? Get real. It's amazing how hard the original spirit of the site is stifled beneath a mountain of post-post-post-post ironic trash, oblivious newfags and people with an agenda. A single dedicated Discord group can ruin any board. The administrative team (as we're confirming) are troons, feds and far-left retards. If you'd like me to be even more depressing, the site's earliest origins, who would utter things like "This is epic" unironically, are long dead. Just let some new group take up the torch. Ideally not borderline illiterates like Sharty.
I'll play Devil's advocate and say this isn't entirely 4chan's fault. I can't imagine it's easy to adapt and remain as it is when the entire internet is changing and becoming ever more malicious each passing year. They have to account for all the AI tools that anyone has access to, all the bots, the new-age scammers, the CP spammers (which are somehow more common now). It's not a 4chan-exclusive issue; the internet has become worse overall due to recent politics and the unstoppable advancement of tech, good tech or not. There is not a single website that has aged well save our glorious Kiwi Farms

Call me a faggot but this is just retarded. Literally what does any of this acheive other than bringing it down for a few hours and inconveniencing basically everyone in the process because terminally online underage teenagers are still malding over the /qa/ board being wiped on their favorite forun designed entirely around a forced meme that hasn't been funny in years

Holy shit I remember that. Lots of people were posting about it on /x/. Should be a few threads on 4plebs if you wanna look hard enough.

Edit: Here's at least one
I never posted on /x/ but that looks close enough to the thread that was on /b/. Looking at the comments about 8chan, that was about the time I stopped posting on 4chan and started going on 8chan again. I think because of the daycare shit. Fuck I can't believe that was 10 years ago now.

Nah, it's on them. If the alleged root tree pics of the Yotsuba source turn out to be true, it's some real ancient shit that even a base copy of 8chan from 2014 would kick the shit out of. They have had 15 to 20 years at this point to bother to keep up with the world and haven't.

It's been noticeably worse since around 2019, but I kept to the bigger boards. It just seems like a lot of people spam absolute dogshit threads, which the jannies do nothing to cull, and will only occasionally do something at the absolute most retarded points in time. There's still some decent threads on the smaller boards, and some generals that have good content, but it just seems there's a lot of spammy bullshit that is allowed to fester, leading to more people coming in and spamming.
/pol/ is an absolute shithole, though, and I wouldn't be surprised if some groups haven't been paid to actively shit it up since 2019, due to them seeing it as a major factor in Trump's 2016 victory, and were causing problematic ideoligies to take root in more of the populace. Doesn't matter if either of those were true, the perception was there.
Rogan had an former FBI undercover guy on his podcast who spent roughly 30 minutes talking about agents actively being posted on 4chan just monitoring threads etc. especially pol. So yeah I mean we don't really need proof of it at this point, there's feds who did it so long they retired from it outright admitting it publicly.

I am sure KF and 4Chan has a huge crossover on the venn diagram of degenerate anti-normie internet users.
It's tough, because in years past I liked to use 4chan because I felt the anonymity made for better discussion, as all that mattered about your post was the content within it. People couldn't just immediately dismiss opinions based on who posted them.

The problem is that the trolling, bots, and tranny jannies that ban opinions they don't like have really changed things. It's difficult to find good discussion, and even when you do, it needs enough traffic to not get overtaken by spam, and you have to hope that a janny doesn't randomly decide to 404 it on a whim.

/pol/ in particular is completely unusable anymore, which is why I started using KF for political sperging. I hadn't even planned to post on this account, originally, just lurk.
