Call me a japnigger but I miss oldnet aesthetics too. Not to the point of being completely vulnerable to a monkey with a typewriter, but the sterilization of websites doesn't just include over-easy mod tools and powertripping data aggregators.

I'm not too great at condensing down my thoughts either so this is a big feel, similar to above and why I include the quote in this same post is because the desensitization and fast paced nature that has been homegrown to gather as much information as quickly as possible (see: 280 character limit) has also been a blight. Not that I expect everyone to write paragraphs in response, just the idea that you can't give a more thoughtful response in favor of some meme for likes is annoying. Has majority of the internet ever actually read a fucking novel? Or was it just like in school where everyone used cliffnotes to cheat on their papers?

If they try to mass immigrate here Null can just shut down account creation if he hasn't already. I can't really speak on preserving KFs culture since I'm an eternal lurker.

Similarly, I don't blame the users for wanting Null to do this. I'm already taking up several post spots with just this one. I'm surprised I was able to register and my first post approved, though I don't plan on actively shitting up the site either.

Finding out jannies banning anyone that disagrees with them makes me feel vindicated now and jannies word policing on that site probably the straw that broke the camel's back. The only good things left on 4chan were /vg/ and /vr/ (/vr/ exclusively for the /doom/ general thread tho) as the /doom/ thread contained a lot of resource links (all iwads available + project packs) and contained the info for the /doom/ IRC channel; however, the rest of the site has been such unmitigated dogshit that I'm surprised anyone still posts there. Having to wait over TEN minutes just to post actually anonymously is insane, and it's so antithetical to anonymity, that I can only assume the people who still post there are reddit-tier retards who are totally OK having the old spirit of the website funneled into more data collection.

I'll miss /tg/, but mostly for illegal reasons.

I remember I finally understood 4chan for what it is when I looked at a general on /t/ about erotic audios. You had niggers spamming about how attractive their favorite voice actor was and retards arguing over what voice actors were good. Very few downloads or links to actual audios. I bust out laughing that such an oddly specific thread still had a shitstorm that lasted threads and threads. I realized that all 4chan was now was a zoo for watching fights that sound almost made up.
I think the hack will be ultimately good since there'll definitely be some major lulz when the site comes back up
