I am almost positive if they slap that shit back online it's gonna be the same way it was before, meaning it ain't staying online. That shit needs a full on rework, the kind of thing you don't have ready in less than a day.

Was a /v/ and/or /vr/tard, not an oldfag but was there for a good few years, mostly staying away from the endless culture war posturing and stuck to comfy and funny threads as rare ss they were to come by, mostly with niche games like Epic Battle Fantasy, Siralim, and the like. Real autistic shit, bro. Yesterday, I saw the site went kaput in real-time. Funny to see /qa/ take its revenge.

Tried to go to the sharty out of curiosity, but couldn't stomach them. Decided to bite the bullet and make an account here and see and discuss the disaster unfold. I don't think this'll kill 4chan, they survived worse than a bunch of stupid teens, but it'll never be the same after this. This seems like a neat little place, despite being different. I know you're kinda full right now, but Idgaf, this is too good.

it's not schizo bc you had those think tanks publishing reports on how to shit the website up and lower the quality of discourse. but I think the real way to kill an internet community is to advertise how epic it is on reddit and to facebook normalfags. 4chan always had terrible signal to noise ratio but it was killed by newfags who took the noise to be the signal.

probably because the entire source code got leaked which implies a lot of work needs to be done to patch any vulnerabilities and also everything else on the server needs updating on top of that.
