After reading the first 30 or so pages post announcement and the last 50 60 pages, I'm shocked that, despite the "programmer socks" meme about trannies no one was properly maintaining the site. Especially reading that this was a known issue on the sharty for 4 years.
It's obvious that it will return in a few days / weeks, but there's a lot of work that needs to be done with the ancient source code leaked. It would probably be for the better to just remake everything from scratch using the old codebase as inspiration.
/fit/ and /gif/ let barbarians to gatekeep, preventing good threads from being made. /vt/ was cancer and with the recent Gura announcement I hope the site stays down until June, for the lolz.
/v/ has been the shitties board for a long time due to the malevolent nature of jannies letting AI, gacha goon, tranny shit, twitter threads to fester whilst 404ing actual threads with actual discussion. And I don't blame anyone for not bothering to contribute, why would they? Contant farms are still munching on the corpse. At least now they can't go there themselves to make posts to screenshot them to post again on Twitter only for them to be reposted back with 20 layers of irony.
I guess that's how the Internet is nowadays, just a platform to monetize. Especially worisome seeing how trashy Youtube's becoming with AI videos(or Twitter bots). Maybe this was inevitable.

I just made an account after reading the last 300 pages and seeing several people mention a theory that jannies were stalking users across boards. To add to this: they are.

I believe the “Marisa janny” is actually Marisa the Magician, a Doom modder exposed for dating 14 year olds, who also used to be a known attentionwhore on /dsg/, and a frequent poster and e-dater on /trash/, which they still are to this day.
I know this because some people I know were added by him, and the things he told them were wild. He seemed to have an obsession with random posters on 4chan. He is MTF, and I suspect that he and other MTF jannies formed some kind of "justice squad" aimed at eradicating transphobia from the site. I have no proof of that, just my schizo theory.

I’m hoping someone more motivated than me might dig into this further. You’ll uncover a lot just by Googling “Marisa the Magician”, how they’re part of an LGBT tech group, their involvement with underage users in 4chan IRC channels back in 2012, and more. The only missing piece is linking the “Marisa janny” with Marisa the Magician. From the people I’ve spoken with (myself included), we felt stalked in ways that only a janny would be capable of.

How are some of the other community members responding to Marisa being outed other then what's been posted above? From what I can see, there are those who are in denial about this while others are trying to claim that it's false.
