You are close, but slightly incorrect. Stickers DO function to rank posts, the posts with the green band on them are highlights, determined by sticker point cost. HOWEVER this is only additive, it just highlights posts, it doesn't REMOVE bad posts, infact awful posts with 300 trash can reactions WILL ALSO get highlighted.

So its still different than reddit, as reddit buries "bad" posts.

That wasn't Him carving up the world, it was Him scattering people because they were trying to play God. And? I don't get your point. Nationalism and race are not intrinsically tied. Someone who is racially Irish, for instance, can cease to be Irish by becoming an Anglophile just as a black Catholic who immigrates there, learns the language, and opposes the occupation of the North can become Irish.
