Josh still maintains InfinityNext could have worked if he hadn't been fucked over. Given what he's done to keep the farms running under some quite severe circumstances (DropKiwiFarms and the Tor era comes to mind), I tend to believe him. Brennan was a fucking prick.
it's possible that Brennan sabotaged the rollout of Next but I saw no evidence of it myself

don't underestimate how many users there were, the traffic was probably 500x kiwifarms traffic on a slow day

Brony thread's that way. Into the furry kennel with you.

He has a thread on here if you wish to check. I just know what Josh has said and what I know he can do. The man is a codewizard when he puts his mind to it.

trannies don't watch anime fyi

naruto and one piece aren't "anime"
Newer anime is emotional conditioning MKUltra shit.
you autistically broke down my little pony's production having a psychological design earlier in the thread, its shit like that. I think the biggest component of MKUltra (in media) is that viewers empath themselves into the role of protagonist, and seeing the same characters tropes over time conditions people to see other character tropes as friends, adversaries and ideas (of the protagonist) as their own.
It sounds dumb and obvious, but people don't understand how effective these things are for social engineering. The heightened emotional string pulling in modern anime (emo shit) makes the impressions stronger. Its all very deliberate, they know what they're doing.
The same concepts apply to all cinema and media.

Someone asked earlier about moderation suggestions in case the hellhole comes back (I hope it doesn't):

Globally:
- Undo "racism is a bannable offense" as a rule for all boards. There's already a rule in place to regulate and moderate spam and/or off-topic discussion.
- Ban /pol/ whiners (It's never going away, newfag)
- Reinstate IP counts per thread and make most of the bans public and transparent

Now for the high-traffic boards:

/v/:
- Move all the repetitive, general, softcore, tranime ERP gacha and cumbait garbage threads to /vg/
- Ban all the e-celeb/streamer/twitter shit with impunity, on sight. This was only adhered to when the agenda was biased against the trannytors and their tumblr/reddit upbringing
- Ban and remove the obvious shitpost/bait threads with no substance or value ("Buy her game", "what do her feet smell like?" etc)
- Instate vidya butts guy as the head janny for the board for leading the good fight against the biased trannytors for years.

/vg/:
- Segregate the nip and chink coom garbage shovelware into a board of its own, name it /vgjp/.
- Crack down on furries without bias, per global rule, in the most cancerous generals like Undertale
- All gacha garbage goes to its own board or is ideally banned sitewide.

/pol/:
- Remove fed-propped, inorganic kike shill centrals like /ptg/
- Word filter BBC (sitewide) to BGC
- Instate the BGC guy as the head poncho janny

/gif/:
- Move the faggot, scat, tranny and nigger garbage to a new board called /talmud/
Unspeakably based, albeit I'd do a bit more:
>Enable poster IDs on all boards besides /b/, /bant/, /qa/, and [s4s]
>Rangeban all state-associated IPs (e.g. that of the George Bush Center for Intelligence)
>Make /kr/ - Korean Culture as a containment board for kpop et al.
>Bring back /qa/ as a SFW equivalent of /b/
>Make /4/ - 4chan Meta as a place to discuss the site itself, talk with jannies, etc. All 4chan staff will have their capcodes forcibly enabled here
>Display the flags of Israeli and Indian users on all boards, even those without flags enabled
>Rename /trash/ to /fur/ (- Anthromorphic Animals) and /talmud/ to /zog/ (- Protocols of the Elders of Zion) to fit the 1-3 character scheme of every other board

k-on is the closest thing on television to national socialism

love live is, well, let's just say it's OK if you kill every gacha-playing faggot and waifu collector, they're not actually watching anime any more than these blue archive faggots are actually playing blue archive
Despite the shows themselves being good (in my opinion), Troons have latched onto it hard. Like how Troons infest the Doom community, it doesn't matter how based the source material is, they always seem to find a way like a nasty parasite.

As someone whose web dev experience is making a hello world.html page once, what is the harm in disabling PDFs and just putting the site back up? To me it seems like the worst case is that someone finds another exploit and they deface everything and call the jannies niggerfaggots, but that is the status quo without having a website up

Because the source code was leaked included the CAPTCHA key, admin salts, hashes, and general codebase layout. It's a blueprint for future hacks. Even if those other things weren't embedded as a lateral layer, the web server's OS is at EoL and unmaintained for a decade, running on the most vulnerable version of Ghostscript ever released, and shell execution paths on a shared storage path without sandboxing.

I'd be happy to use an image board with more reasonable moderation and a few other technical improvements, but the problem is nobody uses those other ones. I'm not going to sit around and post with ten other people just so we can funpost a little more efficiently, because that wouldn't actually be fun at all. I don't know how another image board could gain traction. I guess the original 8chan kind of was, but it was largely made up of the people who were considered too offensive for 4chan, and normal people will see a website that appears to be overrun with nazis and pedophiles and they'll want nothing to do with it.

The fact of the matter is that if you like the way an image board works, you like the anonymous culture, 4chan is the only option. It has lots of problems, but I am anxiously awaiting the site's return. Despite everything I really do enjoy posting there.

when did you niggers start showing up here it feels like we were all summoned at once how many people are in this thread right now and how many ratfucking glowies i wonder
