I'm not personally sold on the honeypot theory myself, but the recent leaks do make me lean towards the idea that 4chan was controlled opposition all along. The leaks about the censored words and mods controlling speech at least make me raise an eyebrow. They were also censoring about Gamergate and certain politics. It seems 4chan wasn't the untouched habitat we were led to believe, at least.

If it wasn't the government, then it was a clique of admins on that I have no doubt.

4chan is absolutely phoning home to the federal government, like pretty much any sufficiently large USA-based website is going to do. The staff of 4chan are the sort of limp-wristed people who, in times of antiquity, would be the first to start feeding intel to the British on George Washington's movements. Don't trust any website to stick their neck out on behalf of any user. Always assume anyone operating any given website dislikes you enough to help get you prosecuted for thought crime. If Ghislaine Maxwell wasn't important enough for Reddit (for example) to try and preserve her identity or not fork over her account information, you don't stand a chance.

My biggest shield other than never listing my place of employment anywhere online is that I have not had social media since 2015
There is no page with friends listed to harass
There is not a single updated picture of me anywhere online
My username is used by 50 different people(I already checked)
I've also had the benefit of being in a family that used to move around like upper middle class gypsies, I have lived in so many towns and statesive lost count, so even searching my full name with all the accurate info dead ends
Same with the rest of my family, fucking ghosts because of so many moves over 20 years
The best you will have to work with is every stupid post I make here when I get shit faced on saturdays

I wanted the IP count because the ratio of posts/unique ips is useful info. 150 posts/140 unique ips = shit thread, people shouting at the wind and no one replying to no one. 150 posts/10 IPs = high amount of samefagging. The real hassle for VPN and IP hopping was the 15 min captcha.

Dude take the L with dignity and try to understand that removing information and hiding data from users is a scummy move, and it has been done before by other companies before 4chan. Reddit gradually started removing and hiding data from users progressively. Youtube removed the dislike button, and they remove your comment without even telling you.

If they're going to arrest us for that, they're likely to arrest us for a litany of other bullshit reasons too, so why worry about it?
