I think that for the meta, 4chan died permanently. Most people have by now found an alt board where you can post more freely, so users have gotten a taste of something better. It will be hard to go back to the cuckchan for many users, even this site (filled with redditors) that allowed the jannydox to stay up is a better place.

The only reason to visit the site later would be to shit it up.

It's not been out long enough to break the habit yet. 4chan is still going to keep being the fastest imageboard, smaller ones can't replicate the effect of looking at the catalog and immediately knowing what's the latest happening regarding the subject of the board.

Replacing the jannies will change nothing. The real issue is jannies have been permitted to act like petty tyrants over their pet boards while dodging any responsibility. Being anonymous means they're never accountable for their arbitrary bans. RapedApe failed to tard wrangle them before and I doubt recent events have made him a better admin.
