How long do you think it will be when they get hacked again? Ever since the source code leaked, it’s basically been open season. If they didn’t patch every hole that came with that leak, it’s just a matter of time before someone digs through it and finds a new exploit.

so when's the epic earth shattering lawsuit happening that will define generations or are they too lazy to do that

They can hide the servers behind a proxy so that no SSH access will be possible without connecting from a very specific IP address. So no, I don't think it will be hacked anymore, assuming they've hardened their network infrastructure.

I don't intend to jump to the defense of these dipshits but I've been pretty critical of them so far and haven't been banned or even had any of my posts removed. What's worse is the outright lack of any good /tg/ alternatives that aren't Discord-tier hugboxy bullshit, so out of the entirety of 4chan this is the only place I'm interested in actually keeping around in my life. And so of course it's a total mess with some of the worst overmoderation on the entire goddamn site.
What a joke
It has become abundantly clear to me over the past year or so that the mods/jannies want to keep /tg/ aligned with certain narratives. Alot of them are actively hostile, negative, or simply promote shitflinging. Just like Reddit, /tg/mods have a very specific dedication to what they think tabletop SHOULD be, and will actively protect anyone who attacks dissenters because it drives those people away.

It breaks my heart because the handful of times I found some of the "normal" folk left on /tg/ the discussions are still wonderful.

But it's clear that mods/jannies are trying to kill such niches and discussions in favor of turning the board into their own little plaything.

And worst of all, like you said, where the fuck do you go? TTRPGs as a hobby have been infested with some of the most insufferable kinds of people nowadays. Reddit, Discord, etc. All of it is they/them LGBTQIA tier hugboxes where you'll get lambasted for making a character that doesn't like Orcs.

Fuck this, man.
