I genuinely believe a huge number of the retards who shit up the popular boards are either actual jannies or janny adjacent and get free passes to ruin boards and erp with other trannies without being punished. It's absolutely fucking absurd how easy it should be to keep a huge chunk of the blatant low quality dogshit off of the big boards. How many mods were supposed to be in charge of /v/? Over a dozen? Literally none of the moderators on any board actually moderate the boards theyr'e in charge of until they're forced to. It's the only thing that makes sense.

well most of 4chans posts aren't organic, those are just the raw stats. If we're being realistic it's like 20k actual posts per day being done by <1000 people. the only good boards were the smaller ones like fit.

The worst spammers will easily hit 50-150 posts per day on average with 3-4 hours of posting. If there's 500-1000 of them, that's 50k-100k posts per day, or 8%-16% of all posts. And given that the designated spammers are usually making tons of threads and are allowed to derail conversations in a way normal users aren't, they are controlling the discussion in 1/3 to 1/2 of all threads.

Personally i don't think that kind of spam are bots. More likely it's weaponised Autism + attention seeking retardation.

This is correct. Some of them are bots, some are shills, but many are human. Most of them are pretty old and mentally or physically disabled. The unifying thread is that they have grandiose delusions that their posts on 4chan are changing society and current events at large.

For example, a few years ago, I found out that all pro-avatar and pro-James Cameron posts on /tv/ were organized from a discord. They weren't even getting paid for it (at least, not the lower-level ones). They had an organized schedule and designated replier roles and everything.

Either way, Rapeape likes spammers because they keep the Potemkin village that is 4chan functioning.

Theres people who would make threads several times within the same day to discuss the same topic or make the same bait, even when people weren't falling for it. I remember /v/ used to have these anons who were obsessed with Legend of Zelda NTR. I'm sure it was a discord coordinated effort, but they would spam the catalog endlessly with AI or fanart images of Link getting cucked. Even when ignored they would do this and the trannitors ignored it everytime (fuckers probably enjoyed it.) Toddposters would make the same damn jokes daily, you would have the tired Dark Souls 2 vs. everyone debates on repeat like you were thrusted into some eternal limbo of schizophrenia.

They are now forcing everyone to use a vandalized rentry link made by a BLACKED shitposter as this was the first instance it was used on the website. While I don't think 8ch can quite replace 4chan's main boards because the traffic isn't there, it absolutely is a better place than /vg/ because it cuts down on samefag spam. The removal of the IP counter only encouraged the worst elements on /vg/. Poster IDs would go a long way towards solving the problems generals suffer from.

/vg/ is particularly susceptible. When you have a general within a normal board, it's constantly being cross fertilized by the other denizens of the board clicking on it when bored. But when you have a board which is just wall-to-wall generals, it funnels everyone towards their insular space. And insular spaces like these are exactly where schizos breed like mold. Eventually it gets so bad that the general is almost entirely discord drama, ritual posting, shit posting, fetish posting, schizo vs. schizo, and (my favorite) schizo vs schizo who actually left the general years ago but who every newfag gets accused of being because they went against the groupthink.

Out of desperation, the regular inhabitants escape the general, return to /v/, and start creating threads so they can actually discuss their favorite game. These threads eventually become a de facto general, at which point they get pruned, at which point the cycle restarts. Or they just find a clever way to hide their general. The constant gacha spam and (right now) the Morrowind threads are good examples of this phenomenon in action.

I've never been fond of the idea that the government is in every conversation on sites like 4chan. To a degree there is some involvement but it's better to collect data passively by observing what is said. A lot of the "hello fellow nazi" type posts are made by trolls intending to ragebait or just autistic people who unironically talk like that.
