I'm pretty sure of the response I'll get when people read the title. Say what yo wan't, I can't stop ya. That being said, hear goes;
Introduction
(Scroll down if you're too impatient and want to get to the point)
I've seen a few short documentaries made by people on youtube, somewhat plain, somewhat silly, and somewhat downright autistic, as many of you'd call em. one was done by a guy who called himself Lord Cockworthington ( Video: Christian weston Chandler: The Basics) who did a short six minute, though it was full of criticism, (truth but criticism nonetheless)
Another was done by the well-known Blackbuster Critic, others by various A-loggers.
Then in 2011, I came across a lengthy one between 20-25 minutes, by a guy called CJ Prime, though I believe the video was removed a few months later for whatever reasons. Regardless, it was longer than most. However within the first five minutes he stared addressing the audience in example " That, ladies and gentlemen is an example of -" And began expressing opinions and even started addressing Chris concerning the purchase of sex toys with:tugboat:. To quote from memory ( don't bother looking for the video, I doubt it's back up, but do whatcha want. ) " Using your welfare money for sex toys. That's the definition of E=MC Disgusting!" - CJ Prime- And white knighting to quote " You'd better sort yourself out or-" Just to point out a documentary turned rant.
These, I would imagine, are probably only a few examples, and I'm not berating CJ or anyone else. All of these videos had good points whether it be straight-up facts, length, or others. Hell, some of them made me chuckle ( especially Lord Cockworthington with his british accent, whether fake or not... Sounded like someone out of the Victorian era with a little humor. )

Now, to the point
These documentaries are good and all , and I'm not dissing any of them. But I doubt ( and could be wrong) that anyone has done an unbiased documentary with the facts and nothing more or less.
If I were to make a video documenting the unfortunate misadventures of Chris. it would consist of the following
  • Bacground music that is neither sad, nor silly ( unless one of you want that)
  • Scripted or semi-scripted narration without showing the face of the narrator or his surroundings
  • An intro, and ending sequence including a montage of photos and/or video clips
  • Voice recordings, of Chris, Bob, Barb, Trolls, and others. and/or quotes from the narrator ( me, or whoever else wants to.)
  • Disclaimers
The documentary would not contain the following
  • A-logging or insulting remarks toward Chris, his art, lifestyle, Ect
  • Personal criticism of any kind from the narrator
  • Pity or white-knightish opinions
  • Saluting or praising the trolls like heroes, out of distaste for Chris or adjectives reflecting direct and personal opinions , good or bad towards trolls.

Topics would include

  • Chris's early years
  • Various minor trolls
  • Sweethearts
  • Adventures into the outside world
  • Family life
  • Megan
  • Various disasters he brought upon himself
By now, you may be asking these questions. Or just might not care.
Do I want to be 'better ' than those who have tried and documented him before? No.
Am I doing this just to make myself look cool? Again, No.
Why am I even bothering? That's simple. Two reasons.
  1. I want to test my skills with digital media and audio recording.
    • I want to make a documentary from a Christorical perspective, as it should be told. Unbiased and descriptive.
If not, Maybe someone else should try. Or why not a few of us work together? I wouldn't mind others getting involved.
Or maybe I should do it alone, as planned? Or how about not at all? before I go any further,
I want your opinions.

If you don't like this thread, let it get buried under the rest. Just throwing an idea out there.

Ah, the Earth must have completed yet another rotation around the sun today to the exact same point it reaches every time the documentary idea gets yet another thread devoted to it.

Chris isn't a documentary subject in my opinion, he's much better as a 'based on a true story' work of fiction where you can use his character type as the lynchpin of an actually entertaining movie dealing with the interesting social/cultural issues his cautionary existence envelopes.

Personally I don't care if people want to make documentaries on him, people can do whatever they want. I don't think its a good idea or that a doc on him would be any good.

I'd adore a doc on Liquid though.

Well yeah, but they're asking here for our opinions on the idea. It's a dogshit idea. I mean, it's not like someone's going to sabotage their attempt. He can go for it.

He deserves a documentary if his story ends like Talhotblond, a TRUE and HONEST look at what happens when fake internet sweethearts go awry. By that I mean the guy, who wanted to be a mureen sniperxheadshot, shot some kid in the face and went to go kill the teenage girl he thought he was fighting for. It turned out to be the girl's mother who was acting like her in very disturbing fashions. Now that's a fucking story
