Sidenote: I'm using a ps5 controller while I wait for my new hotas and it feels like my wrists are broken.
If it's because of the adaptive triggers, try re-binding the buttons so the yaw and throttle/brake controls are inverted. I just could not get used to the normal controls.
How the actual fuck do QAAMs work, they're supposed to be best for dogfighting other players but I'm struggling.

The SU-33 just can't turn with the Pixy, why they give everyone the best plane day one. Nothing else competes and its HUNDREDS of matches to get further into the tech tree (leveling up goes from 1k to 2k xp to unlock planes and I bet it goes to 3k a level soon)
The only winning move is not to play. Which is why I don't bother with the Pixy and just grind slop-tier planes like the Phantom II instead.
Side note: UGB/UGBLs are your new best friend when it comes to Warfare matches. Set up a plane for ground attack and play like you didn't notice they forgot to add the F-4G Wild Weasel variant to the game.

Up till Mission 19 now and the Sotoans are hilariously evil. How did they not invite some joint Osea-Yukie retaliation for doing half the things they did in Usea? Nuking Sotoa at that point would have been an objective moral good.

I'm not bothering with the Pixy, fucker is hilariously expensive to level.

I'm doing the Mig-31 (for LAAMs in pve), SU-33 (QAAMs in PvP are fun regardless of Pixys) and A-10 (classic). Since its gonna be several hundred missions to unlock the later tiers I might want eventually anyways.

I fell for it and now it's gonna take me a good few days of ACO to have enough Zol to unlock the level 15 cap.

Finally beaten mission 28 with a couple lucky shots early on 2 of the shadow squad, the next 5 minutes is just trying to figure out why 22 loves to spam PSM+MG before deciding to PSM+Missiles.
In contrast to 28, 29 was a fucking breeze, even with the super plane for a boss on Elite. Same for 30 as well.
Completed the campaign but I only got to unlock the X-40, are there any more plane to unlock after this?

Mission 28 is the first time in a while I've had to actually resupply. But, had I known what was coming at at the end of the mission, I would have been a bit more conservative in my ammo usage.

Kino villain.
I can only imagine how fucking gay a Western dev would have made a disabled woman.

I honestly chuckled a little when she was first presented in the cutscene and her wheelchair had this robotic hand serving her tea.

In terms of ammo I had so far one mission (I think it was the first assault on Theve) where I actually ran out of everything and I had to wait for the "magical missile reload" Good thing these aren#t the older Ps2 Ac games where you usually have no ammo left at the end of a mission and there are no supply points (in those game your fighter has only 64 standard missiles and there are no upgrade parts so you better hit what you shoot at)

We're definitely back. I loved all the little references to AC04 with the ISAF planes in M13 and M14, Lifeline in the desert is also inspired by the original Lifeline. The plot is also much more engaging that 7's trainwreck. Plane selection is lame just as it was in AC6 however, safe to assume the reason in this case could be multiplayer. Also fuck Enso Order, such a dumb faceless main antagonist that you cannot punish in any way, did they also retcon my beloved General Resource into inheriting the neural COFFIN interface instead of developing it on their own? Either way, the crypto and token stuff was unpalatable, out of touch, and hard to relate to.. funny considering the eponymous DAO was a literal Ethereum scam that changed the rules of the game as soon as they got played themselves. What I'm glad about is that Sotoans are so comically evil you don't feel as bad going all out on them like you do for Belkans (a special kind of autism), Yukes or Eruseans.

No it isn't and no they didn't. They put a minimal amount of effort into the multiplayer. It's just Infinity but even shittier somehow. The missions are way too short, scrambles and emergency sorties are way too rare, and the plane leveling is insanely unbalanced and tedious. Co-Op Assault in particular is basically ruined by LAAMs. Whichever team has more long range A2A missiles wins, almost every time. For how much they were hyping up the multiplayer it's way too barebones. The multiplayer seriously needed longer missions that people could play cooperatively rather than shitty 5 minute point races where there's not anywhere close to enough targets for all players to actually feel engaged and a PvPvE mode where you get your asshole ripped apart by an autistic faggot with a max level plane who's been playing online for 12 hours a day for the last week straight.
After a few MP sessions: I agree. Its absolutely dogshit P2W.

So I finished it last night. It was awesome. I might still be marking out right now, but the way I see it, it’s one of the best in the series.

It’s really hard to rank them because all of the numbered entries have something about them that is the best, but if I have to judge on total package, it’s
5 > 0~=8 >> 04 ~= 7 > 6

I’m glad I was wrong about dooming on this one, as AC is probably the last game series that I’ve loved since the 2000s that remains unruined by modern day bullshit. The intro missions and exposition had me a bit worried, but when you get to the end of mission 3, the Shadows show up and Tasha asks you if yore going to run and you say no, and then the music transitions from the Sotoa chant into the dogfight track just as you blast through their squadron as they shit their pants, I knew it was going to be special.
