After a certain age, you become invisible.

Think about it. You never notice the older people walking/shuffling around unless they are in your way. You don't see them as people, just nebulous shapes that go by. You don't see or remember them at all, in a way.

Yet many of these people have a great deal of knowledge and experience. They know things you don't know and can do things you cannot do. But they are invisible.

So what can the invisible people do? About anything they want. Nobody notices them. The invisible go all over, do what they will, depart.

Truth is, if I were running spies, would like to have some of the "invisible people" working for me. The qualities that make them invisible make them good spies. They can be trained in what to look for, and who cares about some old person wandering/poking about?

Just a thought. Yup, I'm invisible too.

The only old people who blend into the background are the ones who lost their spark. Once they regress into that infantile, mentally slow state where all they do is pray and ask young people for things, they have very little to offer. Most boring old people were probably boring when they were younger too. But I have met some octogenarians and up who still had their wits and were still a presence. Keep your mind busy in your golden years and you won't become an annoying retard (barring strokes or dementia, which can't really be helped).

30 seems to be the magic number, regardless of whether or not you're male or female. If you're not close enough to the 18-24 demo, you're not even being marketed to anymore, outside of snake oil for seniors, and the jitterbug phone. No social outlet wants 30+ year olds, except for bars, and only certain bars, at that.

If you are an age tiktok doesn't want to see, you've had it. That's the best measuring stick I think I can come up with. Welcome to the future.
