How good are these when creating seamless textures for games? I know I'd probably still outta fuck around with it in photoshop to make it tile "seamlessly" but I'm talking simple, straight on, "least directional light/shadows" for an image.
In any case here's a few requests for anyone:
1. a simple grass texture
2. a meaty, marble texture.
3. a blue, brick texture
4. and a messy fabric floor texture.
Ideally probably have it 1x1 as well just to make it more convenient as a texture.

It’s this one…

It’s either entirely word prompt or a word prompt helped along with a photo, varying degrees of influence. I put a photo in of Jean with a moderate influence. These are word prompt only and they’re interesting. Just when you think it’s got the right idea….

…it all goes horribly wrong.

And just as a total diversion I’m adding this one. For no reason other than it’s my favourite image I have ever generated on this with verbal prompt only…..prompt was “small frog is sad because his ice-cream has melted.”

Yeah. I. Read the official “ Bette and Joan” book by Sean Considine. It’s a good read if you haven’t read it I’m guessing you might enjoy it. Davies is supposed to have seduced away one of Crawford’s fiancés quite early in their career…out of spite. She didn’t want him. She just didn’t want Joan to have him. A lot of the Feud was manufactured by the media, who love drama, but there was still a hell of a lot of bad blood between these two,
If you’re into this period of Hollywood history. There’s a fun miniseries with Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange in the main roles….story takes you through all their failed relationships. Goes behind the scenes at the filming of Baby Jane and Cousin Charlotte and takes the story to a poignant conclusion of their deaths . They’ve included a lot of detail about their relationships with Aldrich (Alfred Molina) and the last Warner brother (Stanley Tucci). I enjoyed it as a fun ride for the firey women, the makeup is good enough to make you believe in them as Bette and Joan and it’s well acted. You might enjoy it.

Marilyn and the Wii is proving a little tough….it’s not quite sure of the concept of ‘wii’ but I’m talking it round. AI does not think like a brain, so when you (edit with text after generation)…you can say ‘make the joystick longer and white’ and the dumb thing will leave the joysticks exactly alone and do a bizarre thing like make everything else black…?? There’s a lot to learn about how it thinks.

I watch it quite a lot. It’s one of those comfy things you can stick on in the background whilst you’re doing shit around the house or browsing the Farms.

I don’t know much about how these things work but you learn to see how they think by repeatedly making requests in the different styles and using slightly different wording. I’m gathering that it holds a library of stock images for ‘things’…..so, if you ask for a frog…it will usually be the same sort of tree frog, like mine above…..but….it’s not actually sure (100%) that all frogs have two eyes. It thinks most of them do…..but then you’ll get a frog with three eyes, or six.
Same with human fingers. It has no idea how many fingers a human has. I think this is because it has been fed many, many pictures of humans. So many humans…..all doing things with their hands…holding a cup. Holding hands together. Making a fist. Doing a thumbs up……so many confusing pictures and the AI can’t get a grip on how many fingers there are meant to be.

That’s just one example to extrapolate out. It’s been fed a lot of data and combining it in a way that looks correct to a human eye is still a challenge. It still has a problem with verbs. For instance. The ‘arrest Trump’ brief got nowhere. It didn’t understand arrest. I worked round that by telling it to “put trump in handcuffs” which worked pretty well.

I’ll have a go with the Buick once the cat’s been fed and had her after supper ‘flick the pom-poms’ entertainment.

I know nothing about game developing so I’m not sure how helpful you’ll find my input, but I can certainly try to generate what you ask for.
It’s a question of how useful one image is for you. If it’s as easy as I guess it ought to be, you can simply take the small image and paint it wherever you choose, but remember, I know nothing about game dev. The program I use will let you download your own created image WATERMARK FREE providing you pay for the full subscription. (It’s a perk, not offered on the freebie version).

The program I use has many ‘art style’ options. Eg…realistic, watercolour, stop motion figure, vfx of a few types and styles obviously relating to various names of CGI styling. I’ll go and get you a few examples, but the aesthetics are very different for each style.

You can take way more control of your final outcome if you enter a prompt photo of your own. I didn’t do this here, so these are merely verbal description. If you have a photo (or drawing) you need to heavily (or in a moderate or a minor was) influence your final image, you can get something closer to what is probably in your mind. I suppose most of these can’t be described as ‘seamless’ although some are, and it’s quite easy to fiddle and edit. Adding a photo, of course, could influence this a lot.
