AITA for poking fun at one of my friends whos a mobile user with amazon laptop listings?

Lost a irl friend to this yesterday. His name was Jesse and he was mostly a mobile user in our friend groupchat. Sometimes we'd poke fun at him by just sending him listings for refurbished laptops under $150 on amazon and ebay for continuing to use a crappy iPhone, and up until today, it was fine. He snapped completely at me though yesterday for it and called me a nigger a thousand times before blocking me and cutting us all off after he said "stop fucking sending amazon laptops" and I sent him a ebay link instead. Am I the asshole here kiwi?

He's still in college so I'd assume so, still surprised that you cannot spend $100 on a damn laptop. Looking at the specs of these things make them look very capable (even more so than his iPhone 12). Still doesn't make sense to get mad over something like that to me. It's not like we were directly telling him "LOL, you're poor."

Just a update for all of you fellas: I was able to talk to him and we made up, but he mostly blamed himself for overreacting to it. I think I might just gift him a laptop for his birthday or whatever to make up for all of this. So I guess that's a happy ending kiwibros

I've got two laptops at home and I willingly choose to use a phone as my primary gaming device and pirate unofficial PC ports and use emulators just to spite all the people that think phones aren't actually just small computers and because I like the portability and convenience. My phone actually has a better graphics card than my laptop. It's all the faggoty software and firmware on top that gimps it. The only reason phones don't work exactly the same as computers is because corporations are greedy as fuck and the majority of people are dumb as fuck and believe stupid bullshit about safety and security.
