Fucking tornado watches, for ages people's phones didn't have alerts on them and now suddenly they do and you think "Ok nigger, over the last 20 years there hasn't been a single tornado in the region and all of a sudden now that alerts are enabled there's like 4 tornado watches in a year?"

Plus they're really dire about it, the god damned warnings are like "Get to the basement! Take your family and your dearest possessions! Seek shelter now or you will DIE!" and suddenly you're forced to take stock of everything around you and decide which things you're willing to lose forever, then you go to the basement and they say "Nvm you can go back to what you were doing now". A tornado may not have physically devastated my house, but the warning existentially devastated my spirit.
