I don't think that's true, she raises cockroaches instead of normal pets because she's poor and she also needs to assert the fact she's not like other girls.

And she needs to have pets because she spends most of her time desperately trying to cope with her natural urges to have babies.
It's sort of a two pronged approach: one prong is cockroach baby surrogates, the other prong is coming here to KF to obsess over children and fantasies of stern conservative men impregnating teenagers.

My natural urge is to punch babies, which is why I don't have any.

I've been breeding and keeping them since 2007. First exotic inverts I started keeping. My house is not a home without a healthy hisser colony.

Cats are pretty damn cheap and low maintenance, so I don't think being poor factors in.

You could have it be an outside cat. I don't like cats much but if I got another one it'd be an outside cat. The best thing about them is they're kinda independent, which is the only thing they have over dogs.

Letting cats outside unsupervised is bad for them and the ecosystem. There are some feral cats outside I put food out for sometimes.

Yeah, but they seem to like it outdoors more than most animals. My dog likes laying around inside but cats are always trying to escape. Feels bad caging them up.

You can harness train them like ferrets. You take them out on a harness and let them explore while keeping them out of trouble.

I like to let my ball pythons outside, I always stay a few feet away from them to keep them out of trouble
