One of his projects was injecting dye into people’s eyes to try to change their eye color (super important for humanity’s collective knowledge, don’t you know). His unwilling subjects were primarily children who were twins (and he would perform horrific experiments on them like deliberately infecting them with diseases or amputating their limbs), and he also experimented on pregnant women before sending them to the gas chambers.
• Imo torturous experiments performed on unwilling test subjects can never be justified. Even if some useful information is found it will forever be tainted by the suffering and death it took to get it. That’s why stringent guidelines and rules on any kind of research are so important.
