Idk, I'm coming into this late, but something to keep in mind about Ian: he's a dude who's terrified of genuine emotion. Hell, I recall seeing the interview H3 did with him regarding content cop where he's so incapable of so much as taking a compliment that he visibly squirms and awkwardly changes the subject whenever Ethan tries to pay him one.
Taking that and his lack of investment, I kind of think Ian may not be too bothered by her emotionally cheating not because he lacks the spine to stop her, but simply because to him she's mainly just a status icon. Actually the whole thing bears a striking resemblance to DSP and Kat. They both get to not be alone, they both get status, the man gets his D wet and the woman gets financial support.
E-thots' status value is also increased as the hordes of dudes thirsting over them provides public confirmation that a woman is desirable. I feel like you answered it yourself. In a lot of anime, there's the idea that a girl with big boobs is admired by all the guys around her, so a girl with low self-esteem who seems to watch anime might have the idea that if she got bigger boobs, boys will flock to her, cuz that's what happens in the animes. Seems like an answer someone could reach after questioning why they're not popular. So she would be very happy with these breasts, because they give her that social boost. Finally, confidence!

Whenever I see a streamer lose their partner I get these weird changes in how I feel about them. They go from a struggling streamer who nontheless have a partner.
