If he did do this just to drum up controversy, it was a terrible idea because he's known and liked because he's the YouTuber that calls out other YouTubers for doing shitty things, like not taking criticism well. This controversy was caused by ignoring the shitty things his GF did while poorly responding to criticism.

I think his GF was annoyed by the hate/wanted to use this to promote her OnlyFans and told Idubbbz to make a response video to defend her from da hayturz.
