A sailor who claimed someone scrawled racial slurs on his bed aboard an aircraft carrier —sparking a viral Facebook post in the process — staged the incident himself, the Navy said Friday.

Marquie Little, a 27-year-old African American seaman, posted photos to Facebook on Nov. 15 under an alias that showed his rack on the carrier George H.W. Bush covered in trash and racial slurs.

My guess would be past behavior, and maybe handwriting. I doubt this was a super exhaustive investigation. When you live in a confined environment with other people bad-brains tend to stand out.

Marquie Marq and the funky bunk should just be thankful he's only getting disciplinary actions instead of a Court Marshall. Instead he's doubling down and saying NCIS didn't do their jobs properly

Bootcamp tends to beat the racism out of recruits, but there's tons a shitty qualities that get through. This is beyond trolling.

Very little gets past most serious officers and petty officers such as RDCs. They probably figured it out right away but had to go through formalities before official statements of guilt. I wouldn't be surprise if this asshole posted to facebook while ignoring all proper authorities.
