Any of you spergs into model horses?

I know nothing about them; if you want the real market value go to ebay and search completed listings. Look at the ones that have actually sold. They go from $5 to +$100, but averages seem to be $20-30.

Oh yeah OP I collect tons of model horses! Heres my collection desu :3 uwu

I have recently uncovered what is left of my childhood Breyer collection and thought there might be an off chance someone here might have an idea about what I should be asking when I put them on sale.
That guy hasn't shown up yet so I guess that means I'm that guy.

Are you really sure you want to sell the remains of your childhood collection? Right out of the gate I'll tell you that I am biased toward keeping as much of your childhood collections as you can. The regret you may feel someday will be unfathomable, despite the fact that these are just objects. Your younger self thought they were important and as you get older, your older self may find them important once more. Even if it is just for some good old hotglue, you should consider it.

I've got some very old mementos that I'm glad I kept. Some days they really help. Crushing Thomas the Tank Engine's friend Gordon with a huge load really can make up for a bad day at work. But really. Think about it.

They're well made for sure, really not difficult to see the appeal. Though I must say, some of the accessories are a little...tacky.

Nah, I look at them and all I see is dollar signs. I'm not particularly nostalgic about my childhood. I've been very surprised, going through them. All I thought at the time was " pretty horses!" To find out now that some of them are limited run portrait models kind of blows my mind. Yeah, the accessories are kinda bullshit. You have these photo- realistic models, and try to market a plastic doll. At one point I did have a perfect leather miniature English saddle for them. I'll probably just start listing them on CL for my dream price lol, see if anyone not looking for a hooker bites.

What's the resale value on these things? I've never even heard of this

I'm working on figuring that out thru various collector groups and looking up sales on eBay and Amazon and whatnot. I just thought maybe with our very diverse user base, I might get lucky and find someone who knows Breyer horses. We seem to have such a variety of spergs. For instance I know tons about strokes and brain injuries and lately have been letting my stroke sperg loose too much.
Just thought I toss this up. Hell, we have a thread that started with a munchie wanting attention which is now a literature and history gold mine.

I hope you get top dollar for your model horses

Was never much of a toy pony collector as a kid, but I did have a Sea Biscuit figurine. I wonder if my parents still have it somewhere.

Hey Toasty if you’re still interested in figuring out what you got/selling them, give me a PM. Collect, buy and sell, and the dank dark sperg underworld of the annual model horse Coachella in Kentucky and the “hobby” of model horse shows: customizing, tack making, showing and judging at regional to national level. — this truly is worthy of its own thread but the amount of power leveling involved would be way too much. . DO NOT DO ANY OF THESE THINGS. Save yourself. But if you are still interested give me a PM and I’ll take a look at pics.
