Postulate studios just announced stair climbing simulator 2021 and from the looks of it its gonna blow cyberpunk 2077 out of the water. Anyone else hyped?

New stuff:
  • 50+ new floors compared to Stair climber 2019
  • Dynamic wood grain rendering
  • Customizable handrails
  • New "Stairway to heaven" campaign mode
  • Reworked controls for VR headsets
EDIT: Just returned my open beta copy. They STILL have not nerfed elevators in PVP so online is basically unplayable.

They haven't released any promo shots yet, but I really hope they include ray-tracing this time around. Can't even begin to imagine the new wood rendering with that!

Newfag. I have been playing since Stair climbing simulator 98 and elevators were never intended to be the main part of the meta.
 
Fuck off elevators are clearly part of the pvp meta, what the fuck can you do?
Even if you set up your gambit perfectly to turn stairs into slides or make steps extra steep for your target, elevators completely mitigate that shit.
Get with the times or fucking invest in elevator sabotage gear early into the fight, going pure steps is only viable for pve and endgame.

Of course a fireman class main would say this shit. You guys get to play on easy mode since you have the elevator key by default. From my experience Fireman players are either 7 year olds or edgelords who shout the N word on mic whenever they pass a stair climber. Whenever I play on community servers I look for ones with the fireman class disabled because I am so sick of your autism.

Hell no,have you've seen the some elevators in PVE,man? If it wasn't pixels on a screen I would have nightmares.

Fuck right off with that weak QQ shit, do you know how underpowered our fireaxe is against metal doors? You literally don't see anything but metal doors after floor 35. Fireman class is literally the only class that requires skill and a little bit of tactic endgame, elevator key is only fucking useful in pvp and you're clearly too bitch to play the high risk high reward of elevator play in fire scenarios.

Stop watching youtubers hyping elevator gameplay, it's literally repetitive EZ mode shit in predictable PVE environments, at least in PvP you have gangbangers and Heavyweights to deal with fucking your elevators up and making them malfunction

This stuff has been in the game since like stair climbing simulator 2008. Is this your first time hearing about it or something? Anyhow Wheelchair class definitly requires the most skill but is best in PVP (unless you are a fucking elevator fag) which is why I always choose one espacially on downhill maps. And no elevator fags (or Liftiggers as I like to call them) cutting the elevator cable is not a fair mechanic and should be banned.

This game's physics are clearly fucking broken.

Just now, I won a match by backwards-long-jumping up every staircase. By the end, the other players were 15+ floors behind me.
The developers need to fix this exploit immediately.
