Anyone have experience with dental implants, or is close with someone who has them?

I have a family member who is about to have to choose between dental implants and dentures. They are somewhat undecided about it. Anyone have an input from their own experiences or the experiences of someone close?

I've googled it, of course, but most of the results are either ads or brochures from people trying to sell the service. I'm eager to hear from normal people, but lacking that I guess you guys will suffice.

Things I'm curious about are cost, recovery, quality of life afterwards, and other health effects. Thank you.

A full set of implants, if done well, is a life changer. Do not go for the cheap holiday + dentistry packages offered in Thailand/India/Philippines.

Dental implants are by far superior in every way except price. Obviously going to an experienced dental surgeon for the implant along with a good dentist for the cap, but if cost isn’t the decider implants are much much better. They aren’t even comparable.
