Looking up recommendations for a protective case and screen for my macbook air and I'm seeing conflicting opinions on reddit with most being against them as it damages the hinges or interrupts cooling performance.
Has anyone else come across such issues? I just need peace of mind that I don't accidentally damage it from stray plastic beads or trinkets.
Rather than getting a hardcase that will insulate it from thermal exchange, why not just get a zip up laptop sleeve that will protect it from things rattling around in your purse but be fully functional when taken out?

I didn't feel like making a thread because I'm lazy. Apple is suing OpenAI for stealing their silicon IP and trade secrets:

The TL;DR is that OpenAI’s Chief Hardware Officer, Tang Tan, was coaching recruits on how to steal information and prototypes to bring to interviews. Couldn't steal? Didn't get the job. Another one of their engineer stole piles of hardware docs by keeping his company laptop and exploiting a bug in Apple's security.

OpenAI is probably fucked beyond all belief.

A chink being involved in IP theft?

It’s more likely than you think.

Does Apple know how to make wireless headphones? I have a brand new pair and already there's random clicking and feedback emitting out of the Beats. Good thing for AppleCare+, but jeez.

I have AirPods Pro and AirPods Max and am very happy with both. Highly recommended.
I’d be interested in the AirPods Max if they had better dynamic range. I have AudioTechnicas that absolutely murder the sound quality of the Max and cost a lot less.

Same for Pros compared to the Sony buds I have, although the price was the same there.
