Yes, It is basically simping, just for money.

They simp to sell pills. Psychologists exist to make money. Many make money by selling pills. Therefore, they always pick the treatment option that involves giving the most pills.

Psychologists (and docotors in general) are basically glorified drug dealers who in 99% of cases won't address the root cause of a problem because then they can't sell pills. With regard to the actual mentally ill, they will often validate whatever made up bullshit patients come up with so they can sell more pills as a "solution".

A lot of people working in the psych field have their own psych issues or are “neurodiverse”.

As long as they’re staying within the standard of care and not doing anything over the top, I wouldn’t say they’re simps. They’re just doing a job. A simp would have to be personally emotionally invested in each patient.
