I’ve never been in one although I would like to one day but the more I think about it it seems like too much of a hassle.
Most people who get into relationships seem to do so out of social pressure due to there being a taboo in people who are single or loneliness not out of genuine love, in my opinion there shouldn’t be any pressure at all the points of a relationship is for two lovers to share a life together so it disturbs when people treat it like a chore or a necessity just so they can feel like they “fit in”.
majority of couples always look miserable together and they don’t seem to have any chemistry and one partner always ends up cheating on the other with zero consideration for how hurt they’re partner might get.
Honestly I’d rather be single than be with someone who forces themselves to be in one because they think it’s the right thing to do Plus 50% divorces rate is due to cheating and fuck that.
Perhaps I’m being naive but this is genuinely how I feel.
I know people like to clown on causal sex referring to it as degeneracy and while yes an argument can be made that it is however when you look at how the general public treats romantic relationships I might start to think it’s not a bad alternative.
At least no one is being lied to, led on or getting cheated on and having they’re time being wasted on the wrong person.
