South American genetics are a tangled shitshow, but don't mestizo Hispanics have Mayan/Aztec ancestry (hence their skin color?) So do they count as native? The Métis people in Canada are French/Indian hybrids and count themselves as "Indigenous," that could be a precedent.

Solution
It's not simple. Some countries, like Guatemala, Bolivia and Peru have large populations of almost 100% native Amerindian, or Indigenas, as they prefer to be called, Most others have mestizos, a mix of Spanish/natives. It varies from country to country on how much and to what extent. Counties like Cuba, Puerto Rico and Argentina basically killed off their native populations, either accidentally (through the introduction of diseases like smallpox/tuberculosis/syphilis, which were unknown in the New World so the natives had no immunity) or deliberately (hence the importation of slaves from Spanish/Portuguese colonies in Africa).

There's no real advantage to identifying as a mixed race mutt south of the border so they all downplay their...
Depends
If the Natives were massacred/replaced by Africans, then no.
On the Mayan/Aztecs yes as they even name their kids with names like Yulma.

Technically yes but almost everyone thinks natives refer to indigenous people north of the Mexican border.

I don't think Mexicans are natives because they aren't alcoholic welfare monkeys like they are in Canada.
They're the same in US and have moved to Dom. Rep to peddle drugs with other South Americans.

I have no doubt they are bad. But nothing, not even the dindu nuffing-ist nigger, can hold a candle to prairie nigger in Canada. They are literally the lowest form of life that exists. Every single immigrant hates them for being drug addicted deadbeats that shit out babies for free government cash. They have higher crime rates then blacks or mexicans and are half as intelligent.

There's no real advantage to identifying as a mixed race mutt south of the border so they all downplay their native roots, except for Mayans in southern Mexico/Guatemala, who have retained their native language, Incas and Quechuas in Peru/Bolivia respectively also. There are small groups of Nahuatl speaking natives from Mexico, which I never saw there but run into in NYC, of all places.

They are almost always alcoholics when they get addicted to alcohol as the native peoples in the Americas have one thing in common with East Asians: the lack of a gene that enables them to synthesize and process ethanol. All those Mexican looking shorties you see passed out on sidewalks in major cities are natives that got drunk and passed out after four beers.

Solution
They do.
Up to five names. I'm not joking.
you mean they have like "fake" names or nicknames? The only latinos I know who do that are criminals
edit: oh wait wait, I get what you mean now, sorry. Yeah double first name and last name is pretty common. I personally think it's a cool thing to do but it does get wordy
