Diagnosed at 17 with ADHD, but I wasn't all off the wall as a kid, so nobody really noticed, as I was smart enough that It didn't effect my grades.

It is mild as fuck as tism goes, but I'm very easily distracted. The drive to do shit that is totally unrelated to whatever task is at hand is very strong, almost meth-head strong, despite the fact that I don't take meds for it. I'll probably wind up sorting my MTG sleeves or some bullshit on a whim tonight when I attempt to complete my Commander deck, for example.

Or while pulling a couple of M2 drives out of the PC tonight I may wind up doing a deep clean if its at the point that I just can't let it be, despite a whole new system on the way.

I can get by in social situations, but after a certain point I'm just gonna check out because I've had enough of people. Paradoxically I have attended a rock concert solo (20k plus packed venue), and I don't even remember much about the crowd, wasn't even old enough to drink yet, so I didn't even drink.

this, my mom was a teacher so she noticed that I had something up, but she pushed me towards using it a lot and got me tested into gifted instead of the other half of _that_ portable classroom
there were difficulties but it worked out more-or-less, probably a lot better than being in tard class would have

Does it affect me? Yes and no. I live a normal life, do normal shit, and make good money. Do I get frustrated? Yes. But I came of age in the 2000s in a place where being weird wasn’t tolerated. As shitty as that place and most of my childhood was, I’m sure I’d be CwC-levels of fucked up otherwise.

I do get depressed, especially now. Sometimes I think my objective view and criticism of how fucked the world is (financially, socially with all of the psycho troon shit) wouldn’t exist if not for the autism. But I can usually shake it off and just focus on things I can control.

In short, autism sucks. Fuck that neurodivergent bullshit. I don’t need to celebrate my disability. It’s just something you live with.
