Culture Army and Homeland Security are making an asymmetric school shooter game in unreal - Being shot in Unreal Engine 4. Getting cucked by a sofa in Unreal Engine 4. Wow

Using video game technology and animation, the U.S. Army and Homeland Security Department have developed a computer-based simulator that can train everyone from teachers to first responders on how to react to an active shooter scenario. (Dec. 27)

BBC had a more indepth look into the gameplay, which features the ability to move objects in front of doors (which is very fitting in light of @FuckYou's atrocity). For hopefully obvious reasons this game will probably never be public, but there is a free version for teachers coming soon. Academic kiwis please leak.

This is just a good idea, especially with the kind of speds that get into teaching. "Barricading seems to be a good solution" No shit? Have these people ever seen Home Alone?

Shame it'll never be available to the public at large.

And it's a even bigger shame game studios wouldn't publish a game like this fearing backlash over making a school shooting simulator. I mean, there's school mods for several games, but it's not the same.
Speaking of... https://kata235.github.io/MV01/ is a fun online time waster. Shift to run, space to stab, and to skip the tutorial you need to select the first option to start the game then the second.

The title of this had me scared, like the Army & Homeland Security were trying to train future school shooters.
But this is a pretty good idea! As multiple people on this thread have said, it's a shame it won't be released to the public. I think even kids could learn something from this, given how common school shootings are in America; you never know when it's going to be your school.

It also has the same gifts all shooters have, a digital flawless reticle and easily steady hands.
