Come and discuss this show, I have personally started re-watching after not many years ago. Use to watch this show with my dad along with Voyager, Andromeda and Stargate SG-1. Started watching season 1 and proceeding with the series, I love all the character but my favorite is Londo.

MR. GARIBALDI!!!!

I had a very vivid dream about a year ago where this fat nerd was literally screaming at me claiming that DS9 was an absolute ripoff of Babylon 5 in every way and he said that Gene Roddenberry should be arrested for theft because he "stole Babylon 5's ideas". The dude was seriously pissed off. The funniest thing is that Roddenberry was long dead at the time.

That was @DrainRedRain using his telepathy as usual.

Yeah, it's aight for mid 90s sci-fi that ain't Trek, although the effects have aged as well as Bilbo after he gives up the Ring. I think it benefits from the fact that JMS had an almost autistic devotion to the universe and he planned almost everything out before production.

Is it streaming anywhere? I've only seen two episodes and remember it being good.

It's on Prime video if you don't mind giving Jeff B*zos more of your money.

Yeah, the first season is quite cheesy. It has a good story, though, and only gets better from there. The Vorlons were always particularly fascinating to me, although I admit to being confused as to why a super-advanced space race lived in a bakelite suit.

You'll be saying 'not the one' in a ridiculous voice for weeks, I guarantee it.

I watched through this show for the first time a few years ago, and still come back to it every now and then, it's a real solid show. My favorite character seemed to change from one to another as the series went on, as each character was deliberately written to be somewhat off-putting for a time, G'Kar was probably longest on that list, having an excellent arc throughout the series, and an excellent actor playing him. The only character I never liked was Franklin, who was written with a ST:TNG Season 1 Starfleet officer level of smug and moral superiority. Was sad to see Sinclair go, was sadder to learn WHY the actor had to leave the show. JMS got a few of his social justice themes in there, but they weren't the overt shit you see these days, they seem to play into the plot of the show.

Ashamed to admit I have never watched it. Is this a good show to marathon or is it better to take your time with it?
