The main issue with the age gap in Lore Olympus is twofolds:
- the author applies modern logic and standards to the Greek gods. The gods are, for all intent and purpose, modern humans: they have phones, they have computers, therapists, lawyers. Persephone speaks out against capitalism, she wants to go to college to become a lawyer. The gods are supposed to share our ethos. While rape is a commodity greek mythology, it is a cardinal sin in Lore Olympus.
- Not only do other characters CONSTANTLY bring up how young Persephone is (19 at the beginning of the story, compared to Hades and most other gods who are more than 2000 years old), they also underline how naive she is and how easily it would be for Hades to take advantage of her. Hera says verbatim Persephone wouldn't be able to say no to him. The age is not the only issue, but it is used to accentuate Persephone's vulnerability, especially as she falls into the "born sexy yesterday" trope.

Granted, the age gap is far from being the only issue with Lore Olympus (I'd say the main would be how misogynistic it is for a supposedly feminist retelling of the rape/abduction of Persephone. or its poor writing in general), but the age gap is generally what is most discussed about Lore Olympus.
 
Looks like Slick has returned. Will Tats have 'Nique on a redemption arc where she realizes the feminists lied to her and her goals should have been to marry Slick, have his babies, and keep his home while he works? Probably not, we'll be back to the antisemitism in no time.

But if he does dip his toes back into old style Sinfest, I'd be happy.

Well, I’ve been slacking on this long enough. One account that I’ve been recommended multiple times is this Akhts. And believe me when she says she’s loud about being aromatic and asexual. (Qpr stands for “queerplatonic relationship. It’s like…a friend crush or some shit, or just having a best friend from what I’ve gathered).

It seems to mostly consist of being upset that romantic relationships exist/are super common.

Do adults like…actually do this? It happened with my brother’s friend when they were younger, but teenagers are fucking stupid.

I tried scrolling for a specific one I saw ages ago about her being so giddy about getting representashun in the form of two characters just being friends, but it all kinda blended together. Especially since so, SO many of these comics are just WORDS WORDS WORDS. And yes, the main characters are always wearing those flags.

This is some primo tumblrslop kino. It actually makes me a little nostalgic. Aro, ace, and all the nonsexual sexual identities are a goldmine. They've always seemed to be a barely tolerated minority in their own LGBTQIAP+ community.

Depends; I have had a lot of friends get distant once they get serious in a relationship. Its usually harder to pull them in for random hangouts because you need to schedule stuff. And once they have a kid they usually vanish off to a house in some development for like 5-10 years.
But that's also a lot of moving to real adulthood where your friend group tends to contract and you all hang out a lot less as you get jobs you can't just sleepwalk through.

hes also a pedophile and has drawn porn of his characters (wich are minors) so much to the point where every post you see that includes them in any way shape or form definitely has a fucked up coomer version somewhere.

Eeh, he made sure to announce they were 18 before drawing porn of them. It is creepy to age characters up to barely legal status so you can draw porn of them, but calling him a pedo is a bit of a stretch IMO.

The thing that gets me about Blind Girl: it seems that people really latched onto her plight in the early days (at least I'm assuming, I arrived late to the party) and the "friendship" between her and Blondie. I've never created an OC, so correct me if I'm wrong, but making a character that people relate to and care about strikes me as difficult to do on purpose.

Once he started making porn of these girls it cheapened them as characters. As you rightly pointed out, everything he posts now just has this seedy undercurrent to it. To me he's taken something money can't buy (people's attachment to his characters) and sold it for pennies.

Nah I don't really see a problem with somebody aging up their own characters for specific purposes, but it's generally not a good idea to whore out your OCs for cheap Twitter engagement if they have an existing audience for something different. I guess it's just because all my OCs are really personal, but it feels like selling out.

I don’t think this really belongs here? The art isn’t amazing but it’s just a cute little comic someone who’s probably a teenager drew. It’s nowhere near as offensive or horrible looking as some of the other webcomics we’ve seen here.
(I just looked it up, the artist is like 25 as of today and this was posted in 2016. So she was a teenager at the time. Get better material, dude.)

Wait a minute, I completely forgot that I’m on the Bad Webcomics thread and not the SJW art one. Partially because I was doing something else at the time, mostly because this faggot keeps shitting up that thread with yaoi. Does not say shit either. Hasn’t done that in any of his posts, I don’t think.
