Anyone happen to be watching the Red Sox and Astros game? Boston is bitch slapping Houston hard early. J.D. Martinez hit a grand slam in the 1st inning, and Devers did the same in the 2nd. 8-0 already and Houston is just up to start the bottom of the 3rd.
Stopped watching after the Devers slam. What's slightly interesting is that Luis Garcia leaving with an apparent injury opens the door for McCullers to rejoin the roster for this series. Garcia would be ineligible for a potential World Series roster if I understand the rules correctly, but I wouldn't shed any tears.

Don't even care if the Braves get swept at this point, the fact that they even made it this far considering where they were before the all-star break is a victory on it's own.

Just hate that Soler is probably out for the series but I'm seriously happy for Austin Riley. You can tell that guy has been busting his ass the last two years to improve on his deficiencies. He's been competent enough defensively to be just about league average and he's been better about working the count.

I get that baseball has moved on to advanced stats and analytics but it's still a damn shame he hasn't been getting the love he deserves for what he's done with his vanilla stats.

Austin Riley is an interesting case for MVP. The Braves probably don't make the playoffs without him being the most consistent hitter on the team all year long. His stats aren't as gaudy as other players who will get the votes for it, but he's probably the most valuable player on a playoff team this year. He's 2nd in RBIs , 3rd in hits, 6th in AVG, 10th in HRs and 6th in WAR. Decent resume for a player who objectively kept his team in the playoff hunt while the bullpen struggled, Freddie took a couple months to start hitting, and eventually lost their star player in Acuna Jr. . No idea who wins in the NL. Tatis Jr. seems like an expected choice, but when your team fails to even make the playoffs and collapses over the last month of the season.. how do you award their star the MVP?

Maybe he'll open some eyes with his play in the NLCS. So far so good with a home run and walk off double.

As a Philly fan I'm rooting hard for the braves right now. Sure as shit been giving us nail biters and neat bosox two grand slams in one game! First time ever in post season as if it's rare enough in regular.

I'm pulling for the Braves because they're the only remaining team not suffering from Same Old Shit Syndrome.
I'm a Dodgers fan and I hope they pull through but if they don't I'm rooting the Braves at the World Series.

Another night, another early inning grand slam by Boston. Kyle Schwarber launched one to cap off a six run 2nd inning. I think they said it was the first time that a team hit three grand slams in a postseason series.

It's 9-3 now in the top of the 4th after the budding star Kyle Tucker just hit a three-run homer.

And see, I wasn't even aware his WAR was that high and that's all fucking baseball journalists seem to care about this day.

It's absurd how overlooked he's become. I remember reading finalists for the Hank Aaron award and not only was he not nominated but Freddie got a nod ahead of him regardless of Riley being the best hitter on the team this year.

I get why Ohtani is getting looks for MVP while playing for an absolute loser team and that's taking into consideration that Vlad Jr has a real argument for it too. I don't understand why Tatis Jr, Harper, and Soto are more deserving though.

They aren't, but they will get more votes than Riley will. I bet Freeman gets more votes than Riley does, even though he is the back bone of the Braves this year, and potentially the future super star that carries the team along side Acuna Jr.. We'll see. Maybe the writers will look at his over all year after how well he has been in the playoffs so far. Chipper Jones wasn't the best player in the league when he won, but he had that run against a great Mets team to get the Braves over the hump and win the division, which got him his MVP.

Ok, this is hilarious.

So apparently, Ken Rosenthal is on Twitter sperging about the Texas Rangers. Why?

Because the Texas Rangers said this: Join us in taking a stand against bullying and in support of inclusion. #SpiritDay

Why is this tweet bad, you ask?

Because it didn't explicitly name bullying against LGBTQ+ people.

That's it. That is enough to get people bitching on Twitter now.

Astros AL Champs fuck yeah. Seven down, four to go. Yordan is smoking hot at the best possible time and hopefully Framber and Luis Garcia can carry their confidence into the World Series. No clue if McCullers is going to be available. Pitching is a major concern either way. Stanek, Graveman, and Pressly are fucking nails, but we need to find a way to take a lead into the 7th.

I'm tomahawking to the most offensive degree right now.

Matzek, Chavez, and Will Smith stepped up big time after the bullpen was aggressively awful for most of the season and Eddie Rosario became a fucking god.
