Clayton Kershaw just recorded his 2697th strikeout

Yesterday the Mets achieved a five pitcher combined no-hitter
I watched that Mets game, great one. Kershaw's a sure Hall of Famer unless he starts injecting steroids or choking bitches out during sex. Speaking of, I read the WaPo article on Bauer and damn he is screwed. I've seen a few players come back from domestic abuse suspensions (a few on that Phillies team that just got no hit) but this is some freaky shit and MLB came down hard.

In regards to Bauer shit, I really haven't followed nor caught up so I'll take your posts as word with respect, but remember how way back during "the fappening" NO ONE said shit we all.. not that I looked at that, saw Verlanders dick? Only his at time girl Upton was the "victim".

I have a understanding and dislike how corp america rather throw you under the bus at a claim than stick on you, don't get me wrong rape and shit is fucked up. But, just claims now nuke careers. Our society is based on innocent till proven guilty, and just don't like seeing baseball trying to damage control like fucking corp america.

While I shit post a lot, someone like Jackie Robinson is a hero. Dude got spit at, called every name in the book but you know what? He was that fucking good, and a gentleman. You called him a nigger, he just hit a home run. To me that's very much my own view of America. He got chewed out so many times and dinged so many homers people changed thoughts like "he's one of the good ones" to people becoming accepting, baseball brought on a ton of black people and then (currently) latinos.

People drop pre built feelings if you are a stand up dude and play well. Now don't get me wrong, if Bauer did some fucked up shit fuck him but maybe my tismo feels baseball and the US in all it's systems are linked (remember when Jackie was killing it and mostly people were warming up we still were segregated so aside sports he was ground breaking) so I just don't like guilty till we clear name kinda shit.

What ever I'm a few IPAs deep and Phi V NYM game is a great pitching duel but ugh Phillies please start winning. De Grom will be back soon and it's gonna really boost them.

Jackie needed to be practically superhuman for white America to accept black athletes, and he pretty much was. That's why Branch Rickey chose him.

Speaking of integration in baseball, I feel like there aren't enough people who know about Moses and Welday Walker, the actual first black professional ballplayers who only played a handful of games in 1884 before the American Association agreed to ban them because opposing teams were boycotting their games.

Baseball keeps screwing around with the baseball itself to comedic results. People were bitching about feast and famine Dingerball with batting for homers and exploiting a "live" ball which eventually produced a flurry of strikeouts amidst the almost 8000 homer 2019 "Year of the Long-Ball" season. Now they made the ball a dud and make teams store the balls in humidors to keep them nice and wet and heavy. This has helped produce the lowest amounts of runs a game in 40 years and a month with the lowest batting average ever with leaguewide designated hitters. People keeping saying hot weather, hot bats and the offense will increase in June, July and August and I hope so but I doubt it because if its designed to kill the home run, I think its going to kill the home run. The ball is just dead. Its not getting in play and its not getting out of the park. Stuff that was a surefire homer just a few years ago is an out.

Edit: I'm a Minnesota Twins fan looking forward to dying balls in the playoffs if we make it and a nice brisk sweep to bring it to a good solid 21 playoff losses in a row.

I feel like it is my duty DESTINY to introduce you of the Baseball Thread to the amazing spectacular terriffic the great one the people's champion the BASEBALL HUT.

First recorded in Comics/Comicsgate youtube as Comic Book Hut he has five channels overall including Comic Book Hut (plus Comic Book Hut 2 ) and Patriot Hut which is more political but he often forgets which channel he is on so there is comics content on Patriot Hut aborted comics streams on Baseball Hut etc.

Here are his two baseball channels which are Mets centric content as he is broadcasting from somewhere in Queens, NYC.

Be very kind and complimentary on his livestreams or you will get the ban hammer quick.

Here is his face reveal video, a comics stream, zero baseball content beyond the pennants and other Mets gear on screen. Just for reference to see the man behind this as he does not show his face on stream anymore.

Even with the chat bans flying he's managed to make a monetized following out of tenuous rumors and other clickbait.

Yeah the Mets totally signed none of those guys except Scherzer who he was against because he's "too old".
Anyhow he's right about things just enough to keep a following. Press play if only to hear his signature opening in the first few seconds:

well.. there's always (and often) the chance to get the wrong prediction..

I do hope you will enjoy this very special individual the one and only amazing spectacular terrific baseball cow, the people's champion THE HUT!

Josh Naylor made some history last night, becoming the first player to drive in 8+ runs in the 8th inning or later.

Angels are crushing the Rays 12-0 at home right now. They're about to go to the top of the 9th and Reid Detmers has a no-hitter going. He's only struck out 2 batters tonight, making it all that more impressive.

Edit: he got it. A pop out to the catcher and then two groundouts to the middle of the infield to end things. He faced the minimum amount of batters and he allowed just 1 walk which came at the start of the 6th inning (being wiped out by a double play to end the inning.)

That's now already the second no-hitter in the MLB this season (the last one just came on the 29th of April.) For the Angels this is their first no-hitter since the combined one on July 13th of 2019 which occurred on what would've been Tyler Skaggs' 28th birthday (he died 12 days prior.)

The Cleveland Guardians didn't taked their guard down by being fully vaccinated but they still menaged to get a visit from Corona-chan.
The Cleveland Guardians' game against the Chicago White Sox has been postponed because of multiple positive COVID-19 tests within the Guardians organization, Major League Baseball announced Wednesday.

The game was postponed to allow for continued testing and contact tracing. MLB will provide a rescheduling update when it becomes available.

It was announced earlier Wednesday that Guardians manager Terry Francona tested positive for COVID-19 and would be sidelined indefinitely. He was not showing any symptoms. Francona, 63, missed much of the past two seasons with a variety of health issues.

The game was postponed because of multiple positive tests among the coaches and traveling party, sources familiar with the situation told ESPN's Jesse Rogers. The positive tests stem from some in the traveling party being symptomatic, per sources.

Looks like MLD zero tolerance vaccination didn't worked and they should have followed the NBA example. Let's see how many players will ask some horse paste to Joe Rogan. :story:

While the site was down today Christian Yelich of the Brewers hit for his third career cycle. On top of that all of them have come against the Reds. He's now one of only 6 players (one other, Trea Turner of the Dodgers, is still active) to hit for the cycle three times in their career.

He's also the only player in MLB history to have hit for the cycle three times against the same team.

In completely unrelated news, the Creds are 6-24 on the season. :cryblood:

Phillies are killing LA (D) but we kept playing well with wiffs on Mets, but... De grom will be back and the mets are legit good ... Braves might be stronger than us... I hate to be a downer but I wonder how bad was it and longer effects we didn't sweep with their ace on IR? It probably will be a tight division.

Aside that, people like to smack talk Harper, but he's sending moon shots nightly.

Some controversy for today. In the game between the Yankees and White Sox, there was a benches clearing that started after Yasmani Grandal and Josh Donaldson were exchanging words. Tim Anderson came in and had some words for Josh as well. Turns out, they took offence to Josh Donaldson calling Tim Anderson "Jackie". Donaldson meant it as an inside joke reffering to when Tim Anderson said he felt like "today's Jackie Robinson" back in 2019. Anderson did not realize this and took it as a racist comment leading to the clearing in today's game.

I fucking hate the automatic runner bullshit. Might as well just give the home team the automatic win if it goes past 9.
Still blacks out local games.
This can be bypassed with a VPN but is a bullshit thing to begin with.
Trevor Bauer was finally handed his suspension, 324 games/2 full years of baseball.

He has been on administrative leave since July 2nd, 2021 over the accusation of domestic abuse and rape, even though a judge determined the girl was bullshitting over a lot of it and prosecutors refused to press charges.

For example, the woman claimed Bauer cracked her skull from punching and hitting her head during sex and tried to use medical intake forms as proof, even though the same forms revealed zero evidence of any head injuries and that was confirmed through MRI/CT scans.

Bauer already announced he's appealing it, and rightfully so
You want to cringe?

Read that faggot Heyman root for what is an obvious railroading:

That was a rough two games on what was going to be a monster west coast trip. I think the hangover from missing out on sweeping the Mariners carried over into that series.

LaRussa probably thinks TA actually is Jackie Robinson, the demented drunk old fuck.

In Rays news: Randy Arozarena is finally heating up I hope. He jacked two homers today in a good comeback win after royally fucking up last night in extras.

I know it's still super early but I've resigned myself that the Rays might have to settle for a wild card spot. The fucking Yankees seem unbeatable.

Ji-Man continues to entertain me and I'm glad he bounced back from the elbow issue.
